How old B4 you let your kids smoke with you?
I know there are many family people here. When will you let your kids smoke in your home or in your presence. Most of your older kids probably already know you smoke.

I've got two girls. One is 8, and the other is almost 2. My oldest knows i smoke, but I've told her it's tabacco. My husband and I don't smoke around the kids at all. We keep it in our master bathroom when we smoke during the day. I don't feel her age is the right time to tell her about it. All she knows right now is drugs are bad. And yes they are. I don't feel marijuana is a drug. I've thought a lot about it, and i don't know when the right age is really. I'm kinda glad you posted this, and i came across it. I learned about pot at 14. I didn't smoke it until i was 15. So i think deff before they are 14. I just don't know

mine are still young. i don't know if they'll ever want to smoke but if they do i hope they wait at least until the age i first tried, which was 17. i'm betting on it being legal by that time but who knows, my parents prob thought the same thing

My young one is the only one who smokes, both the boys know we do but the older one, although he doesn't care for it, it doesn't bother him at all. Me and the Mrs. smoke in the bedroom and Jr. keeps his activities in the garage/playroom. I'm betting his mom has toked with him once or twice, his friends have offered up to me plenty of times since we don't 'hide' it from each other...
I think I'd just find it, I dunno, weird. When the shoe was on the other foot and I was the youngster I had plenty of friends whose parents would toke with us but it always felt obligatory (except you Piper!) Like having dinner to be polite but you know it'd be alot more fun down at the burger stand but they did invite you, so you sit down and eat.
Maybe one day, but more than likely it'll be when we're discussing his kids...

I don't have kids, but my feelings on the topic are.
If I'm living somewhere liberal and my kid is honest enough and older than 16 and approaches me and asks me, then I would. Though only like once a year with the kid until hes an adult(so twice before they are 18), unless it was legal then I'd want to teach my child responsible and spiritual use.
I figure if they are 18 OR it's legal, I still smoke, and they smoke, we might as well smoke together? Unless they aren't doing a good job maintaining themselves, then I'd be a dad.

I don't have kids either, but if I did, I would consider doing so at age 18. What your kids don't know, they can't tell. It would suck to be busted because of your kids. Getting busted for pot and/or corruption of a minor is a good way to potentially lose your kids.

my birth mother wasn't much of a factor growing up because she moved to louisiana, and when i first told her i smoke we talked about it and she said she would never feel comfortable smoking with any of her kids. i've seen her a lot more now that i'm out on my own, and the first time she visited we not only smoked a lot of weed but my wife and i also introduced her to mdma. ha, that was interesting. but anyway, it's fun blazing with parents

Just who I want to be with ( my mom) doing X. But on the other side, maybe you need the closeness to her. I hope you can share more.

I let me mom smoke with me when she turned 40. it was her first time and her freaking mom showed up hahahahahaha. I showed her how to be sly. We were outside, I said wear these shades! Had tell Mombo we had been drinking and laughing up a fit. I pulled smoke into the bong for her and she cleared it, like a good son, I didn't want her to hurt her virgin lungs.

In spite of what I know, I'd have to say when mine are adults because their mother would turn into a full-blown mushroom cloud... a big one... and that's just the warm-up.

it was more in the spirit of education. she was under the impression ecstasy would kill you, and i wouldn't have my mom thinking i like to do something harmful. although back then my frequent use of it prob was harmful, heh
and that makes sense merc. i dunno if you gotta smoke with people in ur boat tho

I see. Common ground for discussion and to prevent any judgment of each other - is that it?

Yeah. And then son is going to fully understand the complexities of being a role model/stoner. He's going to work about his own kid in the next room and who better to impart some knowledge on the matter than his own father who had to be undercover himself for 20-30 years of his life.
