You got the paronoid drivers who are afraid of the police and then you got the relaxed stoners who will drive high n blazing. But i do understand its alot safer to just be at home or stopped and out of your vehicle!

I usually don't get that impaired although it feels like I'm driving my mommy van at high speed.
depends on the music thus I stay away from Tool ..unless I'm mad at the kids or had a bad day. ..and yes, I should get one of those pseudo-funny Warning mad mom driving ! bumper stickers.

It's not that tough to drive stoned, I think the paranoia makes you a better driver to be honest. The only accidents I've ever had were when I wasn't stoned if that makes any sense.
You just have to be careful. |

Driving high is not something i would encourage but it is nuts. I live right buy a covered bridge. me and a couple friends were driving right after we blazed out of my new bong. we would speed up to the bridge then go really slow through the bridge with the windows open and the lights off. best experience of my life. we did this like 5 times. i was flipping out!

not to long ago me and my bud went to the movies and we smoke two joints on the way to the theatre while we were on the highway. it was about a 30 min. commute (sp?) and it was the best. listening to some tunes low on the radio, bullshitting around, laughing it up and haveing an all around awesome high time! we were going about 65 and it didnt seem so fast untill we came to our first stop light and met up with a crap load of traffic once we got off the highway... then we started to freak out. lol. i almost hit a cop which was so scary it was funny!

I love driving as well when stoned but it does affect my manouvering skills like reversing and shit. So if I am pretty stoned I generally drive if i am going on straight long roads without too much turning. If I am extremely stoned; I prefer not to drive.
But it comes down to many things: your tolerance; the quality of weed you smoked; level of stoneness; your first time driving while stoned or 50th time... I would still suggest caution though as accident only needs to happen once and time can't be reversed if you get in something major. I donno about US but here in NZ; train rides are pretty bomb as well after getting stoned and safe as well... Last edited by Vik*star*; 08-12-2008 at 03:59 AM. |

Dangerous? In some situations (a road where many turns are required), but chicks learn this technique quickly as well for applying their make-up, etc. Shit, people on their cell phones are more dangerous than anybody but a drunk driver.

If it's my first high in a while and I am fully awake to begin with, I drive better, exactly like aftershock said. If I've been smoking all day, even though I'm not as high due to tolerance, I drive worse.

How many crashes did you say you'd had in that other thread wellfleation?
I drive high occasionally, but anyone who says it doesn't affect your concentration/performance is an idiot. Motorized hunks of steel are not stoner toys.

Driving when I'm a little high is fun, especially when I can roll the windows down. But when I'm really baked it is no good. Not worth putting other people's lives at risk.
