soapy tasting weed?

I bought a half o from my dealer tonight, it looks fantastic, smells good, but when I smoke it the taste really reminds me of soap, Fabreeze, or dryer sheets. The taste is really strong and kind of distracting. Anyone else ever deal with that before? Any idea what it could be?

I have had some bud that the taste reminded me of soap. It was pretty dry weed I remember, and no I don't know why this is.

I had bud that tasted like cologne. Was extemely harsh but looked dank. It wasa really dense nug aswell.

Though it was harsh and cologne tasting was pretty good bud. Had better though.

hahaha dryer sheets. whoever moved the weed used dryer sheets around it to stifle the smell...haha i did that once when i got weed for a friend. he called it the 'dryer sheet weed' cuz it tasted like downy fresh.

just a few days ago i got a friend to send me weed through the mail and he put it in a ziplock, and wrapped it in dryer sheets, so the sorters, or mail people wont smell it. Yes this is the reason your weed tastes like soap.

Well, if he did it to avoid being busted no complaints. This guys been my dealer for 8 years, does home deliveries, and always has the sweetest hydro (gotta love living in Ontario!). The only shame is this weed is crazy good, the last thing I want to taste for the next week is dryer sheets. Anyone who's inhaled through a blowee knows what that's like.

It's the taste of cheap fertilizers and other by-products of not properly flushing the plants...With commercial weed it is most often rush flushed at best, the "growers" do this to pack in as much ferts as possible before chopping to try to ensure that they get the biggest buds possible...

I had shit that tasted exactly like dryer sheets too, it annoyed me at first, but you get used to it after a while. Best of all, it got me and my buddies really fucked up, so no complaints here.

when i was younger, i used to hide my bag of weed in a bigger ziploc with dryer sheets around it in a shoe box. to this day, i associate dryer sheet smell with my weed stash, its weird

Yea. The weed that tasted like cologne was stored in a Drilled out AXE deoderant with a chunk of deoderant covering it. Lol.

Hope you didn't keep smoking it - when weed crackles like that, odds are it's been sprayed with something to skew the weight.

I'm pretty sure you are not supposed to ever "inhale" through the blowee. It's refered to as 'Blowee' for a good reason.
