So, for the first time in the past 2 years that I've been smoking, I finally took a bong hit out of a plastic water bottle. It was some mid grade weed, but it felt like i was smoking some good shit lol. Just wanted to say that it was awesome, and im probably going to be around bongs more in the future.

Do the better made bongs(made out of glass, ect.) get you even higher or have a cleaner hit?

Marijuana gets you high, not bongs.

Sometimes a piece will help concentrate the smoke and get it into your lungs better, but that also depends on how you hit it even.

it really depends on your situation if you are still living with your parents and can't be caught smoking homemade bongs are the way to go because you can just throw them away when you are done I'd recommend buying a metal bowl piece then away plastic bottle can be transformed into a bong

on the other hand if your living somewhere where you can smoke indoors and have a safe place to keep a glass bong they are definitely the way to go not only are they cooler looking but they're really easy to clean with rubbing alcohol and salt

i find that some of the 20 oz mountain dew bottle bongs i have made work better than the straight glass bongs but my favorite one i have made out of brass pipe fittings is the best because ti is indestructible and even unspillable. so it really depends on the kind of smoker you are and your personal smoking preferences are. as you are new to bongs then i recomend trying a bunch of different bongs so you can find out what you like and what you dont like. then try making a bong or two and just go from there

bongs, as Canuck pointed out, can concentrate the smoke, and the water is a filter of sorts

Lol, thats exactly how i felt! I do have a one hitter, and use it often due to the fact that i live in my parent's house. What i did was: take an empty Lipton Green Tea bottle, poke one hole in the side, fill the bottle with a little water, stuck a straw through the hole and then shoved my one hitter in the straw. I was told that making another hole higher up than the first one is how you "properly" make the bong. However, i just used the hole in the bottle at the top made for drinking.

Thank you all for your useful info. I think im going to see if i can put together a more permanent bong using random items around my house, or maybe i can see if i can get hooked up with a glass? made one!
