Weed and Tobacco

Hey guys ,
This weekend I tried weed for my first time. We made joints without tobacco and i can say i felt it . It was great.I was in my local hangout place rolling one when a guy came over and told me i was just completely wasting the weed because if i add tobacco it helps the weed burn. So he rolls one for me with ALOT of tobacco and when i inhaled it hit me real hard. Note that this was my first time smoking tobacco. I felt so light headed and out of it. Although it only lasted like 5 minutes whereas with no tobacco it wouldnt be as strong but would last long.

Any info on whats up with this? Am i right in saying in the US its mostly not mixig and in EU people mix? What do you guys prefer? I just need an answer! Tobacco or no tobacco.

If you don`t smoke tobacco don`t roll joints with tobacco. Weed is not physically addictive, tobacco is very physically addictive.

definately put tobacco in, make sure its ground up real nice, you want to have a homogenous mix of tabac and weed (put everything in a shot glass and snip away at it with some sharp scissors until its ground up into a fine dust, more surface area = more smoke = more stoned), that way it'll burn nice and taste good. experiment with how much you put in, personally i like 2 parts herb 1 part tobacco.


if you dont usually smoke tobacco, try this:

mix up a bunch of herb and tobacco the way i described above, put it on a creased piece of paper, and pour it out into another piece of paper, until you are left with a bowls worth in the first paper. if you do it right, you will be left with the finer particles of weed and tabac in the first paper, stick this into a bong/bowl and spark that shit up (roll a joint or w/e with the "left overs"), you will get a super mindblowing, face numbing hit that will knock you on your ass the way a pure hit can't, because of the nicotine/kief that are left behind. dont do it too often, because it will lose its charm, only on special occasions when you're drunk or some shit like that.

probably doesnt make too much sense, but try it and you will understand what im talking about.

ah wow , when the guy rolled it with tobacco it was like 5:1 (weed being 1).
We were thinking about just using a tiny bit of tobacco to help it burn.

a tiny bit wont make a difference in taste or the quality of the burn.


if you want, try a 50/ 50 mix or even 1 part herb to 2 parts tobacco, it all depends on how you like the taste/ how much weed you want to smoke/ how stoned you wanna get, etc etc.

i dont like smoking them both at the same time, i usually just smoke a cig after i smoke my weed

I'd have to say tobacco wrecks the flavor of the weed, especially dank. You can't rip it as hard, and you don't get nearly as stoned. As to burning better, it's easier to make a better burning spliff than a better burning joint so sometimes (like if your weed is kind of fresh, or you can't break it up very fine) it makes sense to add a LITTLE tobacco. But if normal weed is broken/cut up well (use a grinder for the best consistency) it will burn just as well as tobacco. It's only because the tobacco is usually pretty dry and finely cut that it can help the consistency.

The other day with a couple of friends we rolled two 50/50 spliffs and passed the around but I could hardly feel the weed from it. After that I decided to pass around a bowl would be good and I got way more stoned off the bowl than the two spliffs.

If you don't like the taste of weed adding tobacco might make it better, I think it's just a shitty thing to do.

Bottom line, you can't hit a mix like you can straight ganj. I don't even feel like I'm smoking marijuana with a mix because I can't taste it, deeply inhale, hold it, and then blow it out. The whole conserving theory behind throwing cheap, readily purchasable tobacco into your buds just doesn't hold up because you don't really get the effect of smoking all that cannabis by itself. The most efficient way is a plain batty, still. And when I smoke a spliff, even one loaded with strong hash and a mellow cigarette, all I feel is an immense light headedness where I find myself asking, was there pot in this? would i notice the difference if I rolled just a giant tobacco only spliff and inhaled it too much?

I enjoy a good cigarette with a morning coffee, after a meal, after a bowl, etc.. But especially since you are just trying BOTH for the first time I would think it obvious to try them separately to judge what effects each has. I really doubt you felt the effects of the cannabis at all, seeing as you say it lasted only five minutes. That's obviously a bacco headrush. You'll know when you are high, and it will not be for a brief five minutes.

As far as who mixes, yes it is my experience that europeans mix it while americans do not. However, most euros i smoke with have access to only hash and very rarely any actual bud. And when they do take a bong hit instead of a little puff of a cigarette that happens to have a little shitty hash in it, they cough a lung and then stare at a wall for an hour. If you really wanna experience what getting high is about, I would leave the tobacco out for now, it's more like something to enjoy WHILE you are high.

word, unfortunately spliffing over time has now lead me into smoking cigarettes, and it sucks.

some of my mates add tobacco if the weeds really really dank, but imo its better to just roll the joint thinner / longer.....

when you smoke the shwagg you need a huge spliff of pure to get properly stoned, and it doesnt make sense to add tobacco, but when you get the good shit, rolling a huge spliff of pure is huge waste.

you are left with two choices: a tiny pityful joint that lasts 30 seconds or a nice sized 50/50 mixed spliff (yeah you can stick it in a bowl, but what if you really want a spliff, or dont have a bowl?)

The only time I mixed tobacco with my smoked is when i was in Morocco, you can only get hash there and the fact that we were in the middle of the Sahara desert meant there was nowhere to by a pipe.

I would turn th hash into the finest powder i could get it and then use the minimum amount of tobacco (menthol) to get it to burn. I normally hate tobacco but the menthol gave a pretty nice taste to the hash

the only time ive mixed tobacco and weed was in europe, they smoke only mixed weed out of gravity bong . i think thats so wack cuzz they would put the cig in my bowl even that i told them not too .. just let them smoke it cuzz it will kill them by the age of 60.
damm europeans . heres a story that just happen yesturday , my girl got invited for a smokeout next door where i live , she left at 9 pm , im thinking that they a getting baked . i call her and she tells me that they are waiting to get it , so in like ok . 4 hours pass by and my girl calls me and says that they copped some weed at 1am , and they rolled thise skimpy little ass joint , she comes back and tells me 5 heads on a pinner , thats outragous. plus they where bragging that the weed was called kush . my girl knows what kush tast like and looks ,and she saide it was just some reg dro . i smoke only medical strains so im pissed off that they made her wait 4 hours for some crappy ass weed , then i get up to go to work and i go next door to see thise weed and its not kush but shit. next time im going to wast there time just like my girls and mine . i spent four hours with my dog doing nothing , they didnt even bother to invite me over . f**kng ass pot posers .

I am hoping it was ladies that invited you lady over. That would be whack if dudes invited your girl over to burn and not even you.
