I think I'm the first one back! Somebody kick the plug out of the wall?

I've noticed the past few days it has been going down for short periods of moments.

I just get testclear on MSN and let him know and see if there is anything he can do. I haven't heard about regular problems or one time flubs.

would anyone consider pruning the massive amount of old topics and inactive users? i suspeck this may have something to do with all the problems... or perhaps not.

He knows about the problems. Just nothing gets done. There are only 2 people who are allowed to "work on the site", neither of which are around to do anything. Apparently TC feels none of this is a pressing issue or something would have been done MONTHS ago.

Idk about old topics but definitely we need to prune some of the old users with an email stating that if they'd like to have their name back to get back to someone here... that way it might remind a bunch of old people to come back.

Sometimes early on Saturday mornings once or twice a month I'll try to get on here and then IM him. Usually he is around and something like a the backup disk just needs reloaded or is full. This gets it back pretty quick.

Often it's just a matter of letting him know there is a DB error, other times there are plenty of unscheduled or unforseen problems. I figure it never hurts to keep in touch with him about how this place is running.

ASG I recommend if you haven't, adding him to your MSN account just so there is a sure fire way of us all contacting him if, when, the Edmond-fits-Hooka, goes down.
