Ok as a hair stylist I have to weigh in on this.

Each hair follicle undergoes a cycle of activity. The hair grows to a maximum length, then hair growth ceases and the hair is shed and replaced. At any one time we only have around 85% of our hair on our head at a time, the rest being in the resting stages. The hair growth cycle has three distinctive phases:

Anagen: the period of active growth

Catagen: the period of breakdown and change

Telogen: the resting stage before resumption of growth

At all times our hair follicles are going through these cycles. I promise you smoking pot has nothing to do with what your follicles are doing. Now that you are counting every hair I'm sure it is alarming. You can shed up to 120 hairs normally in the catagen stage. Please rest assured that it has nothing to do with smoking pot.

What kind of shampoo and conditioner are you using? That could have something to do with it.
