Anyone have a peice break after they cleaned it?

My friend just broke his pipe after he cleaned it, has this happened to anyone else?

my friend barely tapped his bong in the sink when he was cleaning it and 2 pyramid shaped pieces of glass popped out of opposite sides of the bubble at the bottom where you fill with water. it sucked

i've had bowls break during cleaning. it was the suck. after the initial dissappointment though, fortunately i was able to salvage my glass sherlock into a completely fine piece with just a screen, [i made a pretty good sized chip in the hole of the bowl, but was able to cover it perfectly fine]. it actually hits fatter now from the increased ariflow or whatever.

I was washing a new ADS bong just after buying. Getting ready to smoke, of course. I tapped it against the faucet while washing it and the bubble bottom broke open.

I stood there for like five minutes in disbelief. All of my glass broke that week. I felt like I was cursed.

Tapped it by accident? Either way that sucks man. Hope you're not out too much money.

Yeah, accidentally. Plus the thing ran me 80 bucks. I still have the tube, which is nice. Planning on turning it into a steamroller. That way it isn't a complete waste of a purchase.

I was wondering that too.

I clean my bowl with isopropyl alcohol, Q-tips, and pipe cleaners. The alcohol solves the resin really well without having to boil or scrape anything with hard metal objects.

many years ago when I had begun smoking my best friend had a soft glass bong and we had cleaned it using hot water. We then stupidly decided that it would be a good idea to put ice inside. We thought that the piece had cooled down enough, but it didn't. Long story short, the bong cracked and was then rendered as unusable. At the time, it was a major disappointment because we were only like 13 and getting any kind of glass piece was kind of difficult. Well, at least more difficult than it is now.

It must suck when it breaks, because I'm sure you just picked up a fat sack and want to smoke a huge fucking bowl to your head or with some buddies.

My hubby has done that to about...5 of his bowls, lol. The last two he has had I bought him, the first one I made the mistake of buying a single blown one and he dropped it and it shattered, this one he has now I made sure was double blown and he takes better care of it, lol. My friends boyfriend did the same thing, too bad
