Vaporizer versus pipes/bongs

I smoke out of whatever suits the purpose. But which do you all prefer?
Oh and what's different about smoking out of a bong besides the hits being smoother?

Once I started vaping a year ago I have rarely smoked. The benefits out weigh the cons, from health to stealth.

I've only smoked out of a vape once on 4/20, so I don't really remember much about it besides the lack of harshness. lol
What exactly do you mean by stealth though?

vapor doesn't really smell.

definitely not as pungent as weed smoke.

also, everyday im pissed at myself for passing up a vape to buy a 300$ bong

I was just looking at how the Vapor Genie thing is put together and it seems like I could make one myself..

According to the Vapor Genie site, vaporization is just heating up the weed instead of burning it. So I just got the idea of using my metal pipe for the same purpose by just heating up the bowl. What says you all?

Just spend the $250 you would have spent on a bong on a Silver Surfer or one of similar quality. You'll be glad you did.

not gonna work--it's the ceramic filter that 'filters' the shite out of the smoking process. no filter=no vapor.

no because it needs to be heated up to like a supreme temperature like a soldering gun kinda hot, too hot for you to handle with your hands and then on top of that you need to find a way for all the vapor to stick around like a dome over your pipe or something...just sounds too complicated.

just stick to smoking however you are now and when you got bread go buy a real vape.

good ones are 300$+

you can still get a decent one for 60-100$ which will get the job done you just might have to wait a little longer for the bowl to heat up and then for it to vape the weed

I thought a vape would be great when we got one and it was at first but I find the stone is not nearly as good, i just get too stoned. how can you ever be too stoned you may wonder! but seriously i can't think or function... i like the adjective "blasted" for the feeling it leaves me with. I have gone back to smoking despite the more negative health consequences.... We're all different though, i know my bf seems to love it. ours cost about $300 i think so they are definitely not cheap. Although I have to say I enjoy the weed flavour much more in the vaporizer (the fragrance is vapourized as well as the THC, but the organic leaf matter gets left behind). You wouldn't be able to do it with a lighter it needs to be 360-400 degrees F in order to work properly!

Vaping is cool. I don't like it because I have to use probably 3 bowl's worth of pot to fill the the "bowl" (where you load the pot) on the vape. I also don't like how long it takes to finish that small amount, and how it's hard to tell if you got a decent hit.

Besides that, it's a very relaxing high with minimal after affects. If I had access to larger quantities of pot, I would vape more.

I guess I could just get a z of some mersh and have a vape binge.

Vaporizing is great because your weed will last a lot longer. For me, it's about four times longer, maybe more. The only problem I have with it is that you get different cannibinoids depending on how vaped the material is. For example, with one strain I got recently, the hits were only good when the bud was still green. After that, it was just too narcotic and put me to sleep. I smoked the rest of it and it was much better. I think the problem would could be solved by using a smaller portable vaporizer like the Vaporgenie. I've bought the Ubie before, which is a small vaporizer that gets all of the cannabanoids in just two or three hits. The only problem with the Ubie is that it breaks very easily.
