I still have my old proto-pipe. I think they are more trouble then their worth. It's neat that someone went to all the trouble to make such a complex pipe. But I enjoy smoking out of a wooden or stone bowl much more. As far as cleaning, try boiling the pipe for a few minutes. That will break the "seal of death" that sometimes locks the bottom cap on. I also took some steel wool to the sides of the bottom cap so the seal isn't so tight. Makes it much easier to get the bottom cap on and off. I have always heard that metal pipes are really unhealthy to use. Which is why I tend to stick to wood and stone pipes. There are also wooden pipes with built in stash storage. Happy smoking.

i agree jerseydave. props to whoever designed such a thing, obviously stoned. i hope he made some money. my favorite old time smoking device is the double chambered wooden box. one chamber is spring loaded with a faux cigarette one hitter that pops up when you slide the lid and the other chamber is for stashing groomed herb to easily pack into the one hitter ya just pop it out and press it in there and your set. def a great device for sneakatoking.
