I completely agree, if ever I find myself high without anything to do I'll just kick back and listen to The Beatles. Have you heard the Love album? A lot of the songs were redone to kind of flow together as one for a Cirque De Soleil show inspired by Beatles music. The show itself is pretty good but the sound track is one of the most amazing things I've ever listened to. From the hauntingly accoustic guitar on While My Guitar Gently Weeps to the crazy mixing of For the Benefit of Mr. Kite with I Want You (she's so heavy) it's one of the most well put together albums I've ever heard and it adds a breathe of freshness to these already amazing songs. Crap, I just realized that if you have heard Love I just wrote most of this for nothing. Oh well, I know the solution!

Sounds awesome!! No, I got the albums when they were 1st released in the 60s. My White Album has the poster & the 4 -- 8" x 10" glossies of each of the 4 of them. Also, my Sgt Pepper's album has the cardboard cut-outs that it initially came with. Plus the inner booklet with Magical Mystery Tour. I also have Beatles '65, Something New, Meet The Beatles, Revolver, Rubber Soul...all of them still on the Capitol Label.
I remember being floored when the White Album [being a 'double album'] cost $6.98 when 1st released & thinking what an exhorbitant amount of $$$ that was.
I also own a bunch of their 45s & still being in the pictured sleeve. Been offered a lotta money for my collection, but I'm not in the market to sell such masterpieces. 1 last thought -- I think the way Side 2 of Abbey Road [which came out on their Apple Label] was coordinated...the way each song [from Mean Mr Mustard to The End] just flows into the next 1...is totally brilliant.

That's awesome, man. I would give anything to have lived through the 60's and have experienced all my favorite music as it was just being released. I really can't take too much of todays music but I could listen to the Beatles or Dylan all day. Perhaps that's part of why I enjoy the Love album so much, it's a breathe of fresh air yet it's been pulled off in a way that doesn't detract from the original material as one may think it easily could, but adds to it.I can't blame you for not wanting to sell that amazing collection, you can't put a price on such an awesome and integral part of the history of that time period. Not surprisingly, I agree with your Abbey Road comment, there are truly tons of things the Beatles have done which could be called "totally brilliant".

Thanks man...I appreciate the props. Yeah, I wouldn't even know where to begin $$$-wise for each of those 1st releases. I'm just gonna keep them...hand them down to my 17 yr old son upon croaking...& let him play that musical era for his kids.
Lennon/McCartney were a couple of musical maestros, imho. I can even hear the end to 'The End' playing in my cranium as I type this --
"And in The End...the love you take...is equal to the love you make..." & the final guitar riff still sends shivers down my spine. Then when you think the side is over -- "Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl, but she doesn't have a lot to say. Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl, but she lives from day-to-day. I wanna tell her that I love her a lot, but I gotta get a bellyful of wine..." [I forget the rest...can you be believin that boolshit?]

new

hi, just registered. Im a mild smoker but have a question. I took a urine test on Tuesday 9/23/08 and went in with synthetic urine. i put it under my sac but left the heater on it. !!!!DONT DO THIS!!!!!!!! i poured it into the cup not paying attention to the temp like a dumbass and it was over 100 degrees. They told me the temp was wrong and then i had to be monitored to pee. It was quite embarassing, i drank about 12 cups of water while i waited to pee again and tried to pee three times with a really big man standing behind me and i couldnt go. Finally after wasting four cups i got a bit to come out, but not enought. the next attemp i got it but that was all mine, no detox drink or anything. Its been almost a week and i havent heard anything...no mro called. is this bad or good?

well, if you know herb was in your system it's probably bad. I've heard stories of people miraculously passing piss tests WHILE stoned (yet they still had earlier tokes in their system) yet I wouldn't trust luck enough to try to be the next one to pull it off. If they have to call you in for a retest I recommend a whizzinator. Look it up on google. It's basically a dildo with a dick hole that ya rig into your underwear so even if somebody is standing there staring at you as you piss they wouldn't know you were cheating. I've never personally tried one so I can't guarantee it'd work but I think it'd be your best bet if they offer a retest.

Bottom line though dude, if you actually pissed in the cup they probably know you smoke ganja. In that situation I would have refused to do so, at least I'm not handing them concrete evidence that I'm doing "drugs" and sometimes, with a good enough excuse, you can reschedule it and live to piss another day.

I actually found this place by typing "how to smoke pot through a glass pipe" on google. I was searching for that cuz I just recently started smoking weed for Crohn's disease. And that was just a few days ago. So far this place as been the most helpful message board I've ever been on.

Definitely a great site!

I joined 2003, and I'm still here to figure out how to smoke weed.

I came on here once I got my first sack and was curious of a convinent way to smoke with basic household materials. Still haven't found the answer.

I'm a bit of a n00b here, I smoke for the smell and effects and it really inspires my music, but lately I have been having frustrating time off smoking. Wish me luck in getting back into smoking, it's hell without it and I have been resorting to a substitute which is way too hot and harsh.

What on earth could you possibly use as a weed substitute? Nothing compares. Was it one of those horribly nasty rip off "legal buds" you see in High Times? Either way, good luck with future tokings. The least I can hope for is if you have to go through hell you might as well go stoned.
