It alters the Ph of the soi so you don't need fertiizers or insecticides. The ancient Mayans did it. Hard to explain look it up in winkipedia.

Welcome Medicinal! Great to have a new girl.

Everyone's very nice and helpful and it sounds like you have some things to teach about growing so that's cool. I also started because of a very bad back but I'm in CA. I will send good thoughts and karma that they will legalize where you are sister. Gosh I still don't get why it's not legal everywhere it's so strange to me. Alcohol is so much more dangerous and I've known a few alcoholics who I wish would just learn to relax (or self medicate whatever) with MJ, but I'm going off topic. Happy you're here!

I felt foolish when I first came to this sight. I'm probably old enough to be your mother, however I could'nt resist being an old Hippie. I haven't posted in a while because I got into someones site, and got a nasty nano std. It took forever to get it out of my system. Even my ever vigilant Norton could'nt stop this one, so be careful where you go don't even get curious about Saddam or anything else that sounds like funky Karma. Be a good girl! Brush your teeth, eat a good breakfast, and toke away. It sure beats tylenol.

I've been wondering that for 40 yrs. I quit the booze 8 yrs ago & cigs 6 months ago. I feel way better. Look how many hundreds of thousands of people are killed from those 2 substances each year. How many die from strictly cannabis? 0!!

Medicinal only here.... I feel like I'm 18 again, but then my body gives me a wake up call. Speaking of wake, wake and bake keeps me feeling 18. I agree with you about the alcohol thing, I know alot of people with alcohol issues, and it's all bad. Oh well. Livin' in a podunk town in Nowheresville, Ohio zip 666. You have to numb yourself to the ugly truth. This is where dreams come to die. Sorry to here about your back, been there I really feel for you. I'm currently going through a torn rotator cuff tragedy. It's so tiresome. I get sick of hearing myself complain. Positive vibes to you dearie.

Thanks. The booze wasn't too hard to quit. After being a heavy drinker for 25+ yrs, it was getting to the point where the hangovers were lasting longer than the booze buzz. Of course, how does 1 cure a hangover? Drink more!! But I was ready for sobriety.
The cigs were a tough give-up after smoking for 40+ yrs. That 1st week was miserable, but once I got thru that, I was starting to feel much better. Plus my wife quit also. We figured it out -- by quitting cigs, we are saving $350-$400/month. Righteous bucks!!

My dad quite smoking the cigs but has been chewing the nicotine gum for years. The dr. said that's a lot better then smoking his cigs at least.
