rookie

Hello everyone. Im trying to medicate myself with some good bud to my numerous injuries from my job. Mainly right now now i have to have surgery on my shoulder to repair a rotator cuff. I would like to know if it is ok to plant white widow seeds straight into a 5gallon bucket instead of using tiny pots to start off.

first off welcome to yahooka!
second we have a great growing forum that'll be able to walk you through the whole time your thinking of growing:
Growing The Good Herb - YaHooka Forums

and thirdly, I think it is best to start off with a small pot and gradually re-potting into bigger pots so the roots maximize their growing.

it would be fine if you did do that.

however if you want to end up with a decent number of mature females, it's going to require a huge amount of soil if you're germinating each individual seed in a 5 gal pot of soil.

^ you transplant to 5 gallon ( or largest pot) @ sexing ?

If his grow is normal, his plants will be fairly large by the time they show sex.

starting in say a two quart pot with seedlings or clones should be fine, as it would reduce the number of transplants by 1, and the amount of soil for flowering transplant as only the females would go into biggest pots - however - not that much "rooting" is done during the flowering stage.

so I'm confused.
