Morning everyone, I'm going to the big island today for my doctor's appointment to deal with my bipolarness and to give him an update and all the meds he gave me (I didn't like any of them).
I'm contemplating taking my laptop with me but it might be a burden, not sure, leaving in 30 mins!
I love you all very much, have a good hump day

Yeah yeah yeah, I'm fucking awake, thank you kitty...
Does anyone know how to reset the feline alarm clock that has moved in with us?
I don't need to be up at 5:45 in the morning anymore cat!
Yargh, where's the coffee. It's a good thing she's so cute.

In the past I've called the squirt bottle the 'kittie snooze alarm' , so yeah, you at least get to sleep in for a little while or wake up slower.
From now to the solstice things just get crazy. Eventually our oldest cat will get up around 3:45 ready for food and a new day. Her thyroid meds have quelled that somewhat now that she is feeling satisfied from her meals. But I can already see the time moving up each day by a few.
Never fails the cats are always up 45 mins before you want to be. I say just get up once your awake and life is a lot easier. I also don't feed them right away when I get up. Knowing they can wake me up with out reinforcing it with food for at least 30 mins, is how I roll with those crazy cats
Last night My Wife woke up in really bad pain across her back and chest. The shooting was from her core and she was super scared something was happening to her. SO.... we hopped into a cab at 11 and tests meds, so on and so forth at 330am she left in more pain that before we came, except with a few shots of inflammatories and some muscle relaxers. She was okay test wise and I think the doctors were not taking her too seriously about her pain level.
I basically said if you came to me I would have done the same thing with Ibuprofen and muscle relaxers if I had access to them. Wouldn't have wretched her neck when she said she couldn't move it without pain, which he did, and sent my wife into a short panic.
We came home, I put her in the shower and gave her a pill, turned on some cartoons dvds, got her bed read and then just rubbed her chest for a while.
Imo, it has a lot to do with her stress level mentally, but more so that she has been doing her thesis work non-stop at the computer, which with hunched up tense shoulders, is bound to cause something like this. I have had a mild repetitive strain injury like this, but had total amazement at which is hurt her, the one who has a high threshold.
I assured her knowing that she wasn't having heart and lung problems was worth the trip and I know it helped her sleep easier. She was so scared she was shaking.... and it's really hard to bring someone down from that spot slowly while honouring them at the same time. I feel the panic had way more adverse effect than the pain itself.
She is sleeping right now and I'm happy about that. So when she gets up I'm going to put her in the shower again and do some 'brushing away' strokes on her back mentally moving the pain away from it's centre.
Send some relaxing vibes this way if you got em' And I'll keep doing what I'm doing. Which is take care of her because some one's gotta!
Have a good one Friends.
Take are and love each other,
SageTree

Back ache from sitting in front of a computer is real pain Sage (back to the real again... )
Instead of those 'brush strokes' get in there and knead those muscles back into compliance, they'll like it. Really get in there with some weight and some manipulation but make sure you listen when she says it really hurts.
The mind is a wonderful tool but sometimes, it takes muscle to get it right.
Hope she feels better.

Thanks dude, I hear ya on the massage. My wife doesn't like to get rubbed like that even though I know what to do. So I work with her comfort level and have talked her into going to the whirl pool today and setting in some steam for a while. If it doesn't start to loosen up on her terms, then I'm going to press, no pun, that she go to a professional and get something done about it.
She doesn't mind me doing some light squeezing, and for what it's worth, I feel the brushes will just get some natural blood flow in there and stave the blood flow from my nose when she punches me for trying to rub her back
I know where you are coming from and that is certainly what I'd like to have done, but I have to keep a safe place for her to talk about this as well and not have her think I'm the massage fascist.... which I am
Thanks for the kind words.
SageTree

Big A is doing pretty good today. She was sacked out yesterday for most of it and today she says it's more sore than painful. I went out a got a heating pad for her, which will double for cramps and has a moist option for steam in the winter (can you tell I'm excited about this heating pad ) And it really seemed to help her out.
Last night she said that she was really scared she was going to die that night and we talked a little about that, for what it's worth. It's hard to explain how you can see the whole genius of the Universe in someone's eye and explain how you just know it will be okay when one passes and the other doesn't. I have to admit it would be a blessing to go at the same time, but who knows what will happen and how blessing will flow afterward, should that be the case. Knowing our time is short always helps keep things in perspective when we are bickering and picking at each other. Which never happens
I'm going to smoke a small one before I go into the the Centre for Bible Study and some crib this morning. It's a day I'm just attending and not specifically my day to 'run things' although community doesn't have a day off specifically
It's nice to feel at home when you walk into a place and I'm beginning to get that there.
How are things with you Double H?
Namaste
SageTree

Things are good with me, thanks, Sage. I'm waiting to hear from the library, and from someone I asked for a reference for the job.
Enjoy your day, man.

Good morning ladies and germs, just in from a massacre and boy is my trigger finger tired...
Weeding the lot, well the lazy mans weeding, RoundUp.
Sure hate to be killing the only greenery around here but with Mother Nature's astonishing ability to reclaim land, I gotta keep up on the unwanted plant life around here so I'm not repouring a slab in a month.
On to more productive things today, resume and some reaching out to folks, see if they meant it when they said "If you're ever needin' a job..."
Peace, love and Oreos everyone!

Hey Gang!
Got a little snow outside coming down again. Making all the brown mushy stuff look nice and crisp again.
Heading downtown today for a training day, which means that I'm on my feet some more and playing less crib with "Jon" who's been opening up and getting some things off his heart as of late.
Hope you all have a super duper day and take care,
Sage!

A fine morning to one and all, it's a lovely 63* outside, headed for the mid seventies. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and there is nary a cloud in sight.
It should be a wonderful day!
Now, lets all hope some asshole doesn't come along and shit all over it...
Have a wonderful Friday everyone.
