Growing up, moving on, losing connections

Any of you mellow tokers finding it harder to acquire ganja as you get older? My friends have all been graduating from college, moving on into careers and toking less or quitting altogether. While most everyone seems to be getting bored with sweet mary jane, I am still passionately in love with her. What Cookie-Monster is to cookies, I am to weed. It's the only thing I've ever found that helps my anxiety and depression after 8 years of shrinks and meds. It is God-given medicine for me, but the Lord giveth and taketh away, and right now it seems that he do taketh.

It's been 8 months and I'm missing it terribly. I feel like I'm becoming a pain in the ass to my friends, constantly wanting them to call their old connections and help me find a sack to buy. I really hate imposing myself on people like that too. I've thought about lurking the campus at my old university (which I flunked out of) and asking random people, but that seems like a really desperate and risky move, as well as maybe being somewhat creepy and pathetic. Currently I go to a commuter-college and nobody is there to do anything but go to class and then go home. It's a pretty isolating environment.

Eventually, I've come to realize that the only option is to grow my own, and it is my life's goal to find my way into circumstances where I can do that, but it could be many long, depressing, weedless years. I picture myself some day as the old gray-haired hippy greenthumb type For the time being, I'm barely getting by with a (extremely) low-paying job, in a cramped dwelling, with vehemently anti-drug roomies while trying to finish my useless clown-college degree. I can't imagine ever having my own land or a house with a grow room, but where there's a will, there's a way. Smoke your next session with extra appreciation for me y'all

Hey man I hear you. I've never had a problem finding sensi though. I quit school too. Your not alone. Find a dude with dreadlocks and ask him whats up? Late-night gas stations(usually circle k's) are good too!

Chin up. There isn't pounds of herb being imported and grown every year so people like yourself can't find it! Also, don't feel abandoned. That's what this forum is for.

Growing up is indeed hard. Instead of imposing yourself all the time, why not ask your friends to just give you the number?

Growing your own isn't all that difficult either, especially outdoors.

real advice is what you need to hear as opposed to what you want to hear.

Real advice is also useful...

Its hard when friends "grow up" and stop doing shit you still are into, you just need to find new social outlets. Somewhere where you work, study, drink, whatever there WILL be at least 1 person who tokes... its more common than you think and its often people you wouldn't think of to look at who turn out to be raging pot fiends!

Grow some in the woods somewhere when it gets warm enough.

Sounds like a shitty situation, but you can meet people who got some easily enough. Go to a bar on a busy night and keep your eyes open, you'll pick up on something. Then start talking to someone and ask. Worst they can do is say no.
