Smoking Courtesy

Hey, I was just wondering who uses courtesy when hitting a bowl? I moved to a new area and have noticed that everyone here circle jerks the entire bowl and nothing pisses me off more. When i smoke with my close friends we all know exactially how to hit a bowl and i love it cause every hit each person gets is of green, each hit is a good size, and bowls last more than 2 or 3 hits. I've just thought about it a lot recently and really i take it offensively when i hit a bowl pass it to someone with more than 3/4ths of the bowl green and get it back all fucking black.
How do you guys toke?

Agreed dude. With my close smoking friends. We just chill and you no talk while we smoke and we no not to hog and always pass, but then this weekend i smoked with some other people and I wanted to kill myself. Outside at 10 at night with houses around us they are yelling and screamin, not passing, was a mess. hated it.

Plus you didnt even mention if this is your weed or a the other peoples, because if its other peoples you have a problem.

Im not a bowl roaster and it is annoying when somebody holds a lighter to "my weed" and burns it for way to long, but if its not my weed i could care less green hits dont taste that much better especially for shwag smokers like the OP

me and my pals usually use a simple rule. one person gets a green bowl, smoke and pass clockwise till fully burnt, then the next person(clockwise) gets a green bowl, regardless of the fact that if he got the last hit from the previous bowl. so for instance, if tommy hit a bowl last, and hes next in the green bowl line, he gets a another hit from a green bowl.

it seems to work well.

Usually leave some green for my friends. Also depends who I am smoking with. Switch off on who gets greens first. Generally when I am packing I always take the greens myself unless I am pretty cool with the person I am smoking with. You all pass to the left?

It's all about sharing. If you roast the entire bowl, there's no more to share.

Regardless of who's weed it is, sharing is always expected.

with my close friends we show courtesy... the house owner gets first, then whosever weed it is gets second. And its usually one hit around and last a while depending on the size of the bowl. In my opinion its the best way to smoke.

when im with close friends the person who packs the bowl gets first, then we just pass, always corner, we dont have much of a rule about how much you smoke, generally two hits with a bongs, when we do Js we usally the rule is you smoke what you want 2-3-4 as long as your being resectful. These are rules with close friends though, otherwise puff-puff-pass and always corner.

no rituals, pretty much whoever packs the bowl gets first hit unless you're packin someone else's weed, then someone calls "deuce" and whoever it goes to is the direction it gets rotated

ALWAYS corner roast it too, it seems like the bowl lasts longer and it doesn't taste as bad

it does kinda piss me off when its like me and 4 others and the last person decides since they are last that they can just roast the whole bowl or snap it..

owell thats why i stopped smoking out everyone i met, its not appreciated

completely agree, theres no cordiality anymore when it comes to smoking someone up. its a beautiful gift, you should accept it with deep respect

I hate smoking with weed fiends or someone who doesn't know the rules. They always roast the bowl to get as high as they can, but then I don't get shit. I can't complain much when it's not my weed, but when it is mine I tell them how to hit it right or they can gtfo.

My best friend has the nickname "Big Smoke" at school, since he's smoked with 1000+ people from our school (past + present students), plus people from other schools, dealers, etc, but sometimes he pisses me off. He's probably the coolest dude I've ever met, but he always tries to rip the bong hella hard. We can only get 2-3 good hits as opposed to 4-5. Granted, our bong does eat weed, he doesn't need to help it

But yeah, just don't smoke with people who hog the bowl?

when i was younger i knew certian people who did this. so id hit it twice maybe even 3 times then pass it.

usually there is never a shortage of herb on anyone's part so this isnt even an issue.

A bit of Bong Etiquette that my circle used.
Pass to the left
The bit at the end of bowls that don't get pulled through was called 'the chris', whoever was left with the chris got a fresh cone, they either smoked the chris, or passed it to Chris who hated wastage, she would pull it and give it back to whoever was next.
Most of my mates used to pull in one anyway so etiquette became moot, but the circle still pulled out party cones on occassions.
Never heard of cornering, but think I know what you guys are getting at, sounds like a decent thing to do, but I've always just lit up the whole cone.
I always found that cheap pricks, or mull pigs tend to get shitty cones packed for them. So karma works it out.
