I'm going to be a dad!

Wanted everyone to know that a little over a month ago we found out that my wife is pregnant and due in January with our first child. I'm very excited (and just a tad bit freaked). A fun treat was holding the news off until Fathers Day to tell my folks that they're going to be grandparents. Exciting times.

So you're just about to go into the second trimester - your mate will be filling out in the chest area, and may even get a lot hornier for a few months. The only problem - she won't want you to go anywhere NEAR her breasts. So you can look but not touch.

Also, if you haven't done so already, get yourself a copy of "What to Expect While Expecting", it's a great book and will give you the lowdown on what she's going through while you're just an anxious basket case.

And if you need any advice or have questions, feel free to ask, a little knowledge will go a long way to making it a happy pregnancy for BOTH of you.

My daughter is 20 months old, and the light of our lives - and we had a fairly easy pregnancy, but it's still nerve-wracking, and every little thing becomes a huge thing if you don't know any better.

Thanks again everyone. To answer a few people; Yeah Veda. I think the toughest part will be the lack of sleep. I'm a night owl, so getting up at 6:00am for whatever will take some getting used to.

We are also taking a vacation to London in August, getting in that last major trip before we're parents.

And to WildWill, lol, the boobies are already kind of off limits.

Thanks for the advice about What to Expect....When the news broke at my wife' job she came home a few days later with that and a 1/2 dozen other books. The Expectant Father is a good one for men.....and I gotta set up a 529 so I'm not sent to the poor house for sending my kid to college.
