How many mellow stoners are vaping?
Hi mellows, any of you vaporize yet? Mothernature, I know you were asking about the smell. Anyone who's converted to vaporizers can attest, it's a very quick dissipating vapor, nothing like the impossible to remove smoking smells from burning.
Seems like as one gets older, the gunk in the lungs is less tolerable. And those of us who are toking in secrecy have to appreciate the cleanliness.
There's an old thread about vaporizing, 2007, people seem to have stopped discussing. I like how the notion of vaporizing gets right to the heart of the old "smoking a joint is like smoking two packs of cigarettes due to tar and other residues" argument.
It does knock you on your #$%% if you're not careful, though.

I used to have a vaporizer and I loved it, it was great, nice and clean and smooth all the way around.
the only thing that bothered me is that it took 10 minutes for the plate to heat up then i hate to leave my weed there for another 10 minutes so if you add the time of (fetching the weed bitting it up yadda yadda yadda) it took me well over a half hour to get stoned
i like to get stoned and smoke some more like 3 times in a half hour

The newer vaporizers don't use those plates, which were little more than modified soldering irons inside a jar with little way to control the heat.
The newer ones are fast, efficient, and controllable. When we bought our Herbalaire around four years ago, it was the only viable competitor to the Volcano. Today there are dozens of great designs, many of which, like the Oxygen are both portable AND battery operated!

I wish I'd saves my old cheap-ass jar vaporizer. It sucked as a vaporizer, but i would be ideal for smoking small hits of bubble hash.

I tried a vaporizer once. It worked real well, but I kinda see it as an expensive novelty. Made me cough. I'd do it again, but I think I like smoke better. Just my opinion.

kinda wish I had a vaporizer now, wish I still had my old one. ever since I quit smoking (cigarettes, it's been almost a month now) i have this harsh 'quitters cough' and im sure smoking and eight a day isn't helping.

Considering how expensive they are, I'd want to try before I buy.

one of my buddies dad's had a machine for tooling gaskets, so we made a few of our own vapes out of little more than mason jars and soldering irons back in the day.

I have owned 3 different types in the past. Today I tried my friends Volcano and was blown away. We had dank stuff. I got the best buzz off vaporizering I ever had. Only problem is the price and the fact I must hide my habit. If I was alone at home and could afford it I'd keep a volcano in every room. Really would be fun to relax at home with one of these. I'm sure this is how the medical marijuana users do their product.

I switched to a vap last year and haven't rolled a j since. After seeing on Manswers that vaporizors deliver up to 90% of the TCH compared a joint (20%) or a bong (40%). I wanted one that was really easy to use and portable enough to use at the cottage. The one i use is powered by ordinary lighter butane. My guy loves it as he is a non-smoker and the vap leaves NO smell, which he hated.
When I bought mine it was off ebay but lately I've seen them in local head shops. It was the best thing I've ever spent money on!
Highly recommended.

I've been thinking about it lately.
The `Cultiva´
Cultiva: Home
is happening in Vienna at the end of the month. I think i'll have a look there and see if i can get some hands on.
