I write for a living. But the type of content I write requires 100% sobriety. But when I put on buzz, I like to jot random thoughts or ideas or really write about anything I fancy in a notebook.

Later, like years later, I may go back and read what I wrote under such conditions. Most of it is gibbering crap, but some of it is astonishing (to me it is). In all cases, it's just fun to review and to get a handle on where my head was at, at that particular time in my life (and under the influence). Know thyself.

I only wish I had done the same when I was much younger. So if you're a teen, or twenty-something or... (oh hell, any age), keep a journal, your older self will thank you.

Man, that's the damn truth!! I have been kicking myself in the ass for not keeping a journal during my 1972 to 1974 cross-country & Mexico hitch-hiking adventures.
I've forgotten so much of it...a lot [most] of the time, I was wastoid & not writing down what happened, has slipped thru my cerebellum like a dude on ludes.
We travelled far into Mexico [down to Acapulco] & went back & forth from the East Coast to the West Coast 3 times. Ended up in Tucson for 6 months. 12 hipsters in a 2 br house doing Seconals & Tuinals almost nightly. We'd drive down to Nogales...buy Mandrax [kinda like Qualudes] & hit the bars.
I could go on, but I just wish I kept a journal while travelling, as it would make for some comical reading.

Good points amoskiller and zoltron. I started to keep a diary when I was living in Germany, but I only kept it up the first couple weeks. I'm already starting to forget so much of the cool shit I saw and the people I met, wish I'd written more of it down and not been drunk for two-thirds of it. I've been better at it lately, getting a couple entries a week the past year or so.

Writing and drawing while high is great... I've written numerous illustrated stories while in good spirits (or on LSD, either way). If you can find an O.G. lowrider bike (like bicycle) and throw on some headphones and cruise until your heart's content, you'll find it's not as silly and juvenile as it seems. It's a fucking blast actually. And if I'm not listening to music while I'm lifted, things just don't seem right. Make up a long-ass exaggerated story involving friends just to see what people will believe, then let them know they're stupid for believing it.

alright heres a mad fun idea for when your smoking with friends. stand in a dark room facing them, but make sure they can see you. This should be done in silence. Put up the 'invisible wall' acting like a mime. just keep making that wall, knock on it, but dont make any noise. Call their name. Dont make noise.
start making the wall a little quicker. Knock louder, call their name like you really need them to hear you, but stay silent. After a minute, start to get frantic, start yelling to them from behind the invisible wall. BUT DONT ACTUALLY MAKE NOISE!!! start banging on the wall and yelling their name, then go quiet, stop making the wall, stop yelling their name and point behind them. Like there's something really scary coming up behind them. Cup your hand over your mouth and shrink away until they are forced to look behind them.
This seems like a mean thing to do, but its pretty damn cool when you do it right. and whats crazy, is it NEVER works if your not high.
