Research on the labels we are named for...
Hello!
I guess I am an old stoner. LoL Been smoking since I was 18. Many, many years...Sometimes think of quitting, but I don't know if I ever will because I enjoy it very much. My mind becomes clear and focused and I get much energy to do what needs done, if I am otherwise too tired to do it. I'm glad to find this site and the kewl company. I came across it while I was doing research for my English Comp class for college on the labels that marijuana users are tagged with. Anyone have any input? It's a nine page essay, any tips are appreciated. I'd like to write from our point of view. Thank you!pinkdane |

Welcome, pinkdane! Comp class, huh? I just had that class - loved it! We had to do a paper on lowering the legal drinking age - pros and cons.
I was gonna list some 'labels 4 stoners' but I spaced. ;p

Well this looks like the place for me. I've been smoking for 23 yrs, since I was 16. I too am able to get a lot accomplished with a cool buzz on. It's always given me a lot of energy, especially for mundane tasks like mowing the lawn or raking leaves. It's also great for bicycling and running. I turn into a world class athlete LOL. With a little bit of glow, I turn into a machine.
Years ago I had some great connections but as time goes by, they are getting harder and harder to find. Hopefully, places like this will help me meet some cool people with similar interests. -peace |

Grandma Stoner
Hi everyone,
I was born in 1942 and have been smoking marijuana since 1965. ![]() I was busted in 1992 and quite for many years, but now, I have a medical card and in the state I live in, I can grow a few plants legally and smoke legally. I have tried life with marijuana and without. I prefer with - here is why: Older folks, women particularly I think, lean towards insomnia. It is a fact that we need less sleep as we get older but insomnia is no fun-pot helps me sleep. It reduces the eye pressure so the glaucoma I have does not blind me, it is relaxing and spiritually benefical. I am calm and peaceful when I smoke and when I am "on the wagon" am more tense and find it difficult to relax and meditate. I'm a really healthy 65 year old and work full time, have fun with my granddaughter and take care of 3 dogs and 4 cats. I practice yoga, meditation and walk every day. Marijuana has helped me be in top physical shape. Any comments from any other seniors out there? |

Hello!
I may not meet your age requirements since I was born in 1980. However, I am a mom, a single mom even, I have been smoking happily since I was 16 and I am, of course, a very mellow smoker - who isn't? :P I live in Colorado and I am a researcher for an HR analysis company. I am far from interested in discussing anything pertaining to drugs with kids who's biggest concerns are getting busted by their parents. So I'll probably being hanging out here ![]() |

At least that is what we called ourslves. I was a kid in the 70's. the later part of the Hiippie era, i think. My older sibs all smoked, drank, and tried various other things.I'm strictly into smokin' weed. I remember when cops were not total pricks about a little weed. In fact, back in the mid 80's I got stopped and all he did was pour my weed into a puddle on the street. It was about an eighth in a bag (cost: $40). Sure I was pissed but I kept my mouth shut. and then later that night, I went & got another one.

..I think It was love with my first joint. It just became an integral part of my life. I have "cold turkey" stopped in the past for various reasons, but at this point , I don't see myself ever giving it up again. Basically, I gave up cigarettes so that I could devote my lungs fully to the ganj! Toke Up
