Thats sweet, did you get to see the actual volcano erupt?

nahh,it was way back in about 1981.I was in the navy in sicily and went on a tour of the volcano about 3 weeks after the initial eruption.it was still flowing at the summit of the volcano,but for safety reasons they would only go as near as they could get the tour bus and turn it around.we were within 3 miles of the summit and you can see in the photo the lava is still smoking.it wasn't molten,but when you walked on it you had to be careful where you stepped.that shit gets hot under your sneaker'shere's another pic I took off of the side of my ship in naples italy harbor of mt. vesuvius and the lights of new pompei.it was a shutter release pic that got that awesome coloration at sunrise.focus ain't great,but the ship was rocking against the tide

My old one which im doing up is an aira pro 2.. the new one is the ibanez artcore.

I find it quite enjoyable. Even though there ads are cheesy with the "from jazz to punk" descriptors I find it to be mostly true. I've gotten nice smooth tones out of it and nasally mean ones as well.

As far as guitars go it's the best I've got (until I get my Gibson

). I've got a real nice Fender Precision Bass though. Here's a pic of my Ibanez and Fender Showman.

Nice! You still have the scratch plate on! I forgot it came with one of those. I took it off. I found it really strange to play at first because of the raised bridge to go with the oldskool tremolo. But it plays sweet now. Ive never seen these adds you are talking about.. i literally went in the shop tried a load of guitars out over a day or so.. then bought this one. Ive just packed it away too..

wont be using it for a long time now. Got a very portable ukulele instead! Dont ya just love the smell of the body!?

Yeah, I'm going to try some flatwounds on it soon and get it set up again... some of the higher frets aren't sounding quite right (almost like a dead fret, but not). I haven't exactly seen ads but the descriptions in the musician friends catalogs and such. I knew I wanted a hollowbody, and I really wanted a bigsby, and I didn't want to pay $1000+++, and when I played that Ibanez I just fell in love.

The smell of the body? Hmm. Can't say I remember that. Ukulele's are fun! I've got a tenor uke myself... a lot of guitarists (or at least a few I've read-- George Benson, Tal Farlow) started off as a kid playing tenor uke. It's neat because it's the same as the top four strings of a guitar so everything transfers over. Anywho, yay music!
