Digital Music

I`m interested to know what methods other people use to acquire/ maintain digital tunes.

I buy a lot of vinyl, if I can get something on vinyl I`ll never buy it on CD. I harvest a lot of tunes from the net but if I like something I`ll try to buy it.

I get some stuff from torrents, mostly from Piratebay and Demonoid. I used to use Azureus but ditched it because it`s so resource hungry. Now I use utorrent.

If I really want something I`ll get it from Soulseek but I find it a pain in the arse to use, I find it can bugger up my hard drive.

I use a combination of The Godfather and Monkeytunes to label files using AMG and Discogs as reference.

I loathe peple who share badly labelled files.

I loathe platform specific formats (itunes windows etc.)

I prefer .flac as a format over everything else. If I use .mp3`s I prefer VBR`s if I can get them. .ogg`s arn`t too bad.

Anyone else?

Hmm don`t know much about Gnutella clients. Friends of mine with macs use Limewire but I`m into quite obscure stuff and picky about the completeness of the material I download and the stuff they seem able to access doesn`t seem that great. Can Frostwire use torrents as well?
