I am apprehensive as can be about Windows. In my professional life, I'm not sure that ANYTHING has wasted my time more over ridiculous stupidity than Windows.

um... i think in general most people that use computers just surf the net, check email and use office applications.

i use my mac for design and music production. for me, it's way more enjoyable than windows. windows is fine, and i really don't care what you use... but i would contest that the major advantages to windows vs mac is price & gaming.

for me, design is my profession so spending more on a computer that i use every day to earn money makes sense. especially when i have better productivity and enjoy using it more.

i'd say the people just surfing the net/checking mail would be better off with a pc but creatives would be better off with a mac. anyone that's new to computers would more than likely have an easier time using a mac.

this debate really doesn't need to come up that often though.

yes, bit torrent is cross platform. as already stated transmission works great.

Your idea of crap is vague to say the least. iPhoto is a decent program. I do use Lightroom and Aperture for hardcore photo editing. Is that acceptable to you? What do you use?

to the original poster. yes you can bt on mac. bt is just sharing files, you obviously dont want to dl a pc file (.exe, etc) although i hope you know this. Trasmission is what i use but it sucks my internet completely dry and i cant use youtube or any internet for that matter. seems to be the best bt client though in terms of speed. my favorite though, is bits on wheels. not for a n00b but its got a lot of nifty little features.

wellfleation please stop with the mac shit, im a mac fan myself but its just a computer. stop trying to convert people. it doesnt work. ive been both a pc user (from 3.1 to xp) then switched to mac and i think its great but some people just like pcs and vista/xp/2000.
