With a Mac..

Can you still download stuff from the bittorent sites? Or is bittorent a straight windows thing.

Sweet thank you.
I've been debating on getting a Mac.. but the sweet sweet bittorrent and its free music keeps me with windows.

Of course you can use a Mac to pirate music - it's even easier to do too. I use Transmission as a client, works extremely well. I can get transfer rates over 200 kb/s when there's a big swarm.

Occasionally yeah. But again, it's gotta be a big swarm. Usually it's in the 100+ range.

Ya gotta seize everything by the balls and take what you want! Besides if I play nice I can't d/l all the out of print movies that I need for my DVD collection.

I FINALLY got Rene Laloux's sci-fi/fantasy classic Gandahar which has been unavailable in the U.S. for like a decade. Now I just have to figure out how to burn it with it's subtitle track onto a DVD.

BTW - I don't know if you guys know, but Nine Inch Nails was offering their newest album for free download on their site - that torrent took like 2 minutes to finish.

Yes, Macs rule in just about everything. Hardcore PC users will misinform you regarding this by telling mistruths. So be ware.

Good luck finding anything worth downloading with a Mac. It should be a bid deal though, I know you Mac ppl generally just surf the web, do email, and edit music and film.

Oh, is that all? And you forgot photography.

As opposed to doing spread sheets, and word docs and surfing the web getting viruses while doing so on your PCs.

Oh, and I forgot wasting your life gaming.

And I'll remind everyone for the thousandth time you can run Windows on a Mac and it runs better than on PCs. So if you need to game and download useless shit that is available for Windows you still can. But then again, why would anyone use Windows Vista which the consensus is it sucks over the awesome power that is OSX?

So now what, what? Come on, I'm waiting for the nonsense of mistruths to fill this thread for pages.

And you're a dumb dyslexic shit, who should go make his own fucking thread already. Or at least master the art of replying in a single post.
