Windows Media Player Issue

I want to play movies off of websites via windows media player, and its set as my default player. The problem is when i click the link or whatever a download dialogue pops up and then when thats done the player opens...
anyone know how to just get the player to open straight away?

It kinda does matter what browser your useing. Cuz if you have Firefox, there's a Windows Media Player Plugin, and it'll play certain movies(depending on the extension I think) in another browser tab... I was never bothered by the whole waiting thing you really need to wank one? hahaha I'm just joking around.

Download firefox and get the extension if what you want is what I was talking about.

I prefer firefox, I used to be an avid IE guy, but ever since I switched to firefox seriously 1/10's the pop-ups, it's just a lot friendlier imo. And yeah if I'm watching some porn or something then certain movie files will just automaticly bump up in another browser pain.
Oh yeah and safari is legitamate too I'm just less familiar with it.
