Last night I was fooling around with some level editor for a game and somehow through the process it got deleted. Although it's not the biggest problem right now in my life it was certainly an emotionally heartbreaking minute to see a good weeks worth of work to vanish all of a sudden.

I have XP, is it still possible now to restore my computer back to let's say, five days ago? Or am I screwed and admit defeat to this cursed machine?

System restore might work, you should be able to find it in the accessories folder in the start menu under system tools I believe (could be somewhere else though, haven't used windows in almost a year).

System restore didn't work. Oh well, I've gotten over it anyways, just going to be a long time before I start back again.
