Truly Scary Movies
Yea so most horror movies don't scare me at all, they're all bullshit torture porn shit and it seems I'm the only American male who has no interest in seeing a hot blonde have her tits carved off.
What I'm looking for are movies that are actually scary, to give you an idea of what has freaked me in the past here's some I can think of.
Silent Hill 2 on PS2, not a movie but scary nonetheless
Jacob's Ladder, holy shit that part with the subway when everyone's staring at him omg
The Ring, yes some parts freaked me out, fuck you
Audition, this was kind of a torture movie but it's Japanese so I forgive it
Know now that if you recommend something like the Texas Chainsaw remake I will lose all respect for you. Thank you for your help.

I thought The Hills Have Eyes was pretty scary. Silent Hill was freaky. Mirrors freaked me out. The Uninvited was scary-awesome..... And yeah, The Ring had me scared for a while.

yea the end with the dude in the corner at the end of blair witch was pretty spooky
hills have eyes was too rapey and torture porny for me, not that I have a problem with violence, it's just these types om movies don't do it for me
As a Silent Hill fanboy, the movie pissed me off too much to be scared by it
Never seen Mirrors but I'm skeptical of Jack Bauer's attempt at horror
Never seen the Uninvited but I've heard bad things, but who knows maybe it's good

In all honesty I don't think there is any horror movies that creep me out anymore...they aren't really scary. Although some give me anxiety when I watch them like when people are hiding or stupid previctims are freaking out risking everyone elses lives.
Scary to me is watching documentaries on real life stories, for instance the haunting in connecticut story was really creepy.
Last but not least "Black Christmas" original. I'm completely afraid of perverted phone perverts who want to stalk and murder women the one movie I don't watch alone because I'm super paranoid.
Oh and I read the Amityville horror novel, when I thought it was a true story the movie kind of creeped me out but I'm ready for new ideas.

I saw the American Quarantine and liked it pretty well, I should watch the original.
It might sound dumb but Event Horizon still has some freaky moments imo

i just saw quarantine the other night i liked it
especially when that lady is really freaking out near the end good acting
and yeah i agree too many ''horror'' with all this death and gore IE: high tension, hostel, saw 1-10000, it doesnt appeal to me too much as much as older horror movies where they didnt need all the excessive violence
though saw 1 was good but like i said above they dont need to make so many sequels
blah blah blah

oldboy. its got a great plot, and it's also got some cringe moments.
chakushin ari or one missed call (japanese version) is great if you liked the ring.
suicide circle or suicide club is a good movie.
japanese horror films are the shit. hollywood should take a note from the japanese and make horror films like they do, not just remake already good movies, imo.
edit: oh yeah, check out battle royale. not a horror movie, but badass none the less. basically, the plot is it's socialist japan in the 40's i think, and unruly children are sent off to go fight to the death. its deeper than that, tho.
