New iPod Touch (3rd Gen) is nice

Just got it yesterday as soon as soon as my local Apple Store got them in. It's the 32GB one. I still have my 1st gen (16GB - went through wash and still works 100%), but man does this thing blow it away in everyway. Whether it be butter smooth gaming (has a much better graphics chip than the new iPhone 3GS even - Need 4 Speed stuttered on rare occasions on my 1st gen), is capable of running on a pure N network in the future with a firmware update (parts are there they just need to be enabled), and is simply a pleasure, especially with an external volume control (my 1st gen is ear buds only for sound). It a music player that is better than a tablet in my opinion - it's a real mini computer. The remote ear buds are cool too.

I got a clear Agent 18 case for it which adds zero bulk. Very happy with my purchase. Vids/movies play beautifully.

Oh, and I forgot to add it supports the Bluetooth 3 standard which is 10Xs faster than BT 2 is now. Again, it's in the chip, Apple just has to provide a firmware to enable it. I couldn't be happier so far.

I've bought sooo many ipods. All my kids have one (two are replacements for lost or broken ones) and my wife hijacked the mini I had about four years ago.

Fuck it, I'm going to be dead some day, and so I might as well live a little. I'm going to buy one for myself! A nano will do. 8GB is more than I'll ever need.

They'll have to listen to Dad's music in the car on the way to school now. . . Ha ha ha!

My wife and our kids are riding in the car to the Cape and I needed to call my sister. I ask my wife if I could use her Blackberry (curve?) to make the call. Talk about a frustrating experience. Those keys are so small I gave up (I was driving) and said, "god, I hate this thing, I can't type on it!" She then says how she hates it too. She was skeptical about the soft keys on the iPhone but now has realized how much easier it is. Her Co. were also issued Blackberry's last month and she, and many of her friends at work, wished they weren't forced to upgrade. It is that bad.

Wow, you guys must be REALLY close, huh? I post in this specific forum regarding Mac related issues brought up because I've been using Macs since 1994. I have also been using XP for the last 8. So I know both sides and side heavily with Macs based on what I know. SORRY I think the Mac OS (and hardware) is superior.

As far as being one dimensional: I post in numerous forums here regarding numerous subjects. If you got your head out of your ass long enough to read you would know this.
