Aion (new mmorpg)

I been thinking about getting this game

however, i havent paid for a game in years and i dunno if its just another shitty wannabe WoW carebear mmorpg.

anyone play it or have an opinion? i cant decide whether or not to buy it. its also 10-15 dollars per month which is lame as fuck.

go read my thread TK, while I haven't played it, I know a lot about it.

I will say this, if you enjoyed WoW, you will like this, its WoW but way more polished and better ideas thrown into everything possible from pvp to crafting to pve to death penalty and so on.

i play on vaizel server, level 30 templar which is the tanking class in aion. its alot of fun and i enjoy it alot more then wow, my only gripe is that being melee class sucks in abyss because people always fly off if im about to kill them and its hard to keep up with em, they got a patch on the way that will let you use your skills even if they move outta range during the animation tho

also if you keep your crafting skills up you can make gear for your level that is pretty much the best or at least equal to the boss loot. Now that theres abyss gear to buy with points you get from pvp kills tho it might not keep up as well, but i doubt many people will spend their points on the best items before hitting level cap anyway.

found this and im getting real damn excited! this'll be my first 3d perspective mmo (never even got into eq) so i'm thinking i'll start with a warrior to get a grasp on the mechanics.

so far this game reminds me alot of DAoC, which is definitly a good thing. havent tried the pvp but the grind isnt too bad, and they just increased the xp you get from quests so its even better today
