That's an easy transformation with this book in particular because there's no real plot that went on wit dem monsterz...

I don't see how it's so hard to grasp. It's easy to make a movie about a 10 page children's book. Why? Because there were no details. There was no awesome story in the middle about what went on. Just hey check it, I'mma chill with these fuckin monsters, whoops! Time for dinner. You can fill the middle of that with ANY story you can think of. They could build an airplane and fly to Brazil. They could make magic pancakes. I mean cmon. Imagination.

ok i can see how they COULD, what i don't get is why they WOULD. this one might actually turn out cool, who knows. but it seems like an easy way for studios to make a quick buck by selling out childhood -- where the real imagining into max's world took place.
