DJ Hero
Is pretty fucking sweet! Awesome beats (mostly mash-ups) and unique gameplay!
Anyone else try it yet??

how is the scratch platter? from observations it looked pretty crappy and likely to break or at least move a lot when u play it.
not so?
i guess i might have to get it, but i had my doubts. u def like it ? think itwas worth the 110 bucks?

but you can't make your own mash-ups? like you can only 'play through' ones they made that you might think are lame-o and/or get tired of quickly?
why not just get a cheap behringer mp3/wav mixer or some numark cd mix on the cheap [pretty comparable price.. up to maybe 180CDN for a behringer] and make your own..

^^ cuz that's not a game, that's being an actual DJ. A lot of people enjoy trying to master a given challenge.
anyway, I'm not really into most DJ/mix music, so I'm not sure about this one. Next time I'm in a gamestop or something if they have a setup for it I'll give it a whirl. I love guitar hero/rock band, so if the interface is fun and challenging I might pick it up! thanks for the mini-review

The crossfade is definately tricky but adds to the feel of the game.
I personally didn't pay for it (my roomate did) so I can't comment on the price directly, but I do think it's little overpriced at$110... The scratch platter is actually pretty solid, I don't foresee any breaking/falling off and it has just the right amount of resistance.
There's also a litle bit of room for creativity (fills, tone fader) which I enjoy.
I havn't got too deep into yet but I like!
