i haven't seen that yet
No Country for Old Men gets 8/10
i didn't really like it much, even though i wanted to
but it gets 8 because i've thought about it alot since watching it
some cool themes
i'm still very unconvinced about the relevence of Woody's character

i got cloverfield on dvd the day it came out, but only just watched it on halloween. it was meh. 4/10, maybe 5/10 just becuase im a godzilla movie fan (it seemed like a more "realistic" godzilla movie, if that makes sense). i was laughing my ass off when hud's punk ass finally got ate. i was waiting for that douche to get it, and when he did, the movie got knocked up a knotch. other than that... meh.

1st part of that movie was good. The 2nd half was just like... making its point. Which sucked because the point of the movie isn't all that inspiring or interesting just a fact. And since they didn't spend that much time really with the sheriff in the 1st half, him suddenly becoming prominent leaves you trying to be interested in this old dude's back story. But since he literally doesn't accomplish anything the entire movie its a tad underwhelming.
The tension in the 1st half was great tho.

9 was a pretty huge let down in my opinion. It seemed like they made a movie that was supposed to be like 2+ hours long, then decided to chop it down to 80min for whatever reason. Almost everyone in the theater on opening night shared the same view, at least from what i could tell from the people complaining on the way out. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a terrible movie, but it could have been so much more. It was visually awesome though. Personally i would give it ~6.5/10.
Other things i recently saw...
Zombieland 8.5/10
Star Trek 9/10
Public Enemies 7.5/10
Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day 9/10
GI Joe 4.5/10(movie was pretty bad, but the action and visuals were decent enough)
Later this weekend i will watch "Black Dynamite" and come back to rate it, been waiting for this one for a while!

I saw Imagine That(Eddie Murphy) with my sisters and it was surprisingly good.
Not gonna win any awards of course, but it was far better than most of the crap that gets released now.
6/10

Observe and Report: 7.5/10 - the skill in which they presented such an awkward and hopeless character was impressive, there were some slow areas but overall it was better than I'd expected

^ I agree.
Spread: 7/10, wife rented it, Ashton Kutcher movie (was really not interested in watching this one bit), dude is homeless, carless, jobless, but somehow gets in every hot chicks pants and has them support him. lots of ass and tits and very good looking women. this is not your typical fairytale type gay ashton movie. he's constantly using women, cheating on them, getting caught, fucking more women and so on. doesn't have the normal everything works out ending, the trailer is nothing like the movie, it's almost dark in a way.
i was not expecting to enjoy this movie in the least, but i actually liked it.
