Hmm, haven't seen Slumdog.
But anyway, this is a movie being created by a guy who in my opinion has yet to create a bad movie. Aliens, Terminator 1 & 2, Titanic - heck even True Lies is at least enjoyable.
That doesn't matter to you. That you don't care for Avatar doesn't matter to me either.
Just that 1st post you made was.. irritating.

I just threw up a bit in my mouth to hear someone call Aliens terrible. Say what you will of the others but leave Aliens out of this.

terminator 1 and 2, aliens, true lies... come on, for the 90s, those were the shit.
t1 and 2 along with aliens stick out above a lot of movies over the years.

How in gods name can you include Titanic and not Escape from NY?

Royal Tennenbaums is one of my favorite movies, Almost Famous was the shit too but not as good as Tennenbaums imo. haven't seen the second one.
Wes Anderson is ten times the director that James Cameron is.
again just my opinion

yeah I know, I wasn't comparing him.
Tennenbaums is Anderson, that's who I was comparing to James Cameron
I like Crowe's movies better than Cameron's, but I can't really say much about him being a better director because he's only made a handful of movies, only other one I've seen is Jerry Maguire, which of course is a great movie.

i agree. i almost consider him and anderson as niche directors. i think its because they write all their own script on their own. writer/directors almost always end up making a handful of movies like that, and you either love em or hate em. some of his other stuff, like that movie with legolas whateverthefuckville , are just types of movies that i dont really like personally. james cameron does write some of his scripts but always with someone else and his movies are all popcorn action flicks. not that they cant be great. i love terminator and predator just as much as the next male. :P
