If I can find someone to cover my shift at work I'll be there Saturday, I'm going to go drive around and harass my coworkers after dinner. If I can find someone I'll buy the ticket Thursday. I'll be the ginger in the green shirt who looks way too preppy to be there, or to have drugs on him. Got a couple friends from the area who'll be there too, should be a good time.

Rage Against The Machine
RATM was the best concert I have been to thus far, great show. Zack de la roche, Tom, the bassplayer and the drummer all were excellent. Everysong sounded just like it did on the album, and Tom had great solos. The lead singer all did this speech about Bush and the Gov't, said a lot of great points. "Be not afraid of your country/gov't, your gov't is the one afraid of you" was raining out, and muddy as shit, drunk ass people throwing mud sliding down the mud, Im all slippin on my ass trying to not fall.
Went out to my car to get some joints I had rolled for me and my buds (NPI) and upon my re-entry I found that they were not going to let me back in, argued for a bit until one of the other employees just gave me an extra ticket back in, couldn't believe it. All in all, that was a great concert. Now I have to go take a shower, meet my buds at Rico's for breakfast, get some Bud, and go to Dave Matthews. Life is good! ![]()

Nada Surf were pretty good, the songs were all well played and they held the crowd's attention for the entirety of the show. I am familiar with the band but not really a fan, plus the excitement of bands to come made their performance fly by without much memory... The Presidents were great, it was a high energy show right when it started to cool down, the music was rock solid, the crowd interaction was supurb, with peaches being tossed on stage to taking a fan's cowboy hat only to start lump with a western intro, this band still has it, if not for making new hits but rehashing the old ones into something new orignial and fun... Incubus was right on point, all their songs were spot on and sounded just as they do as they do on the albums, this can be either a great thing or a bad thing, for me it was great musicianship but i expected them to push themselves abit... They played all the hits and did a couple of the lesser known songs and had an awesome drum breakdown that exploaded into an even cooler guitar workout... Modest Mouse was on fire, they had three 7+ minute jams of new material, mixed 3 songs together throughout the show, the encore of spitting vemon was amazing and the highlight of the show, the second highlight came with the 15+ minute version of Tiny Cities of Ashes, and the crowd interaction was high-larous... The show on a whole was an awesome experience and just reafirrmed my love for both the gorge and the bands that preformed... ![]() Last edited by Skywarp; 08-27-2007 at 09:44 AM. |

I'm going to The BB King Blues Festival in a couple weeks-ish. There is going to be BB King, Al Green, and Etta James and the Roots Band.
