Dixie Chicks-Travelling Soilder: 5/10...well if this isn't embarrassing... no, the song has a pretty cute story. its got that kinda bluegrass feel to it.
![]() Neil Young-My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue): 10/10 what can i say, its better to burn out then to fade away. doesnt get much better than that! Ken Boothe-Down By The River: 8/10 this is a bad ass rocksteady piece Radiohead-How Can You Be Sure: 6/10 i like this song, but would rather to listen to many other songs over it Aesop Rock-No Regrets 6/10 great song lyrically, i'm not thrilled with the beat however.

Jay Dee- Gobstopper; 10/10. love this beat, trances me out, haha
Van Halen- I'll Wait; 8/10. dope song, great for in the car and singing along to, not to mention it's on the best halen album and one of my top 10 rock albums, 1984. there are better songs on the record, but this is still very solid. Charizma & PeanutButter Wolf-Red Light/Green Light; 11/10. the only track they released before leaving Disney's hip-hop label, which led to the label folding. i love everything about this track. Outkast- She Lives in my Lap- 10/10. love this song. one of my favourite outkast tracks actually De La Soul- Millie Pulled a Pistol on Santa Clause; 10/10. classic de la; i feel it's almost like their 'Janey's got a gun'. epic track

So every song you have is the best song you have ever heard...?
Dislike and Enjoyment come in many shades, don't you like some things more than others?

$tinkworx - Drexion Caves - (8/10) Not often that the first tune that appears in my mp3 collection is the first to be played. This is a nice Detroit sounding tech track from the ever secretive JT Stewart. Also gonna feature in an upcoming Ableton set from myself.
Dirty Dozen Brass Band - Best of Louisiana Music - (7/10) A random track in my collection that I have never heard before, much french horn/trumpet tootling and lazy-cool lyrics about New Orleans and the Mardi Gras. nice! Infiniti - Think Quick (Remodelled by Moritz von Oswald) - (7/10) Deep spacey remix of some Juan Atkins Deep House/Techno by the man from Basic Channel, despite the obvious quality of both producers and track I am giving it a 7 as its K-Hole sound has just detracted slightly from the more upbeat mood of the last track! Ray Charles with Diane Krall - You Don't Know Me - (7/10) Can't really fault Mr Charles! Nice smooth duet from the Genius Loves Company album (I Think), has an end of the night slowy feel to it... Chili Peppers - Dani California - (6/10) Not their best track in my opinion, typical Chili Peppers sounds with some nice Wah-Wah/phase effects on one of the guitar channels. Nice lead guitar licks at the end.

kennedy killed the hat - buck 65
some buck 65 albums suck. to truly get the full effect you have to see him do a show. theres few songs that stand out on his albums, and this isn't one of them. my love - paul mccartney nothing to say here. talented man, decent song open your eyes - goldfinger i really only downloaded the "best of" for the song about his girlfriends shower, and 99 red balloons crazy - the slackers been listening to A LOT of ska lately. the slackers rule gonna write him a letter - susan tudeschi one of my (admittedly many) favourite female vocalists was that 5? not a bad idea for a thread.

The Allman Brothers - Can't You See (8/10) : Smooth guitar riffs and flute make this song one of the Allman brothers' greatest hits. The lyrics flow quite nicely with the music.
Jimi Hendrix - Wait Until Tomorrow (8/10) : The humorous tale of a man and woman planning on running away but keep waiting until tomorrow, until the man is arrested. As always hendrix caresses our ears with his specialty chords and riffs with falsetto background singers. Rolling Stones - Paint it Black (7/10) : A decent Stones song that carries a heavy tone of sorrow. The guitar in it is neo-classical and quite admirable. Andy Mckee - Nocturne (9/10) : For those who haven't heard of Andy Mckee, you should. Not only does his music relax you but you can feel his emotion through it. He has the ability to make his guitar sing...a rare gift. Bob Marley - Buffalo Soldier (10/10) : The late great Bob Marley at his (almost) finest. Rare and appreciated singing tone coupled with excellent percussion and guitar puts this at the top of my list. happy listening. |

Led Zeppelin-How Many More Times (9/10)- From Led Zeppelin I, one of my favorite songs from my favorite Zeppelin album. The guitar riff is one of my favorites and the bassline is heavy and the drums are crashing. The end of the song just completely rocks.
The Beatles-Within You Without You (7/10)-From Sgt. Pepper, written by George Harrison, mostly sounds like an Indian folk song with a sitar and drums. ""Within You Without You" was written on a harmonium at the house of long-time Beatles friend, Klaus Voormann, while "there were lots of joints being smoked"(wiki). Very psychedelic and mystical lyrics. Van Halen-Panama (8/10)- Who doesn't love this song? One of Van Halen's best, hardest rocking songs off of their album 1984. Badass song for when you're doing 100 on the highway. Miles Davis-Israel (9/10)- Very short (2.18) song from The Birth of The Cool. Great organization, upbeat and catchy. Pretty tightly structured for Miles Davis. Blue Oyster Cult-Then Came the Last Days of May (7/10)-From BOC's first album.(self titled)Very chill slow and rhythmic song with some funky guitar work. The song is about a few friends who went down to Mexico to buy some pot but it turned out to be a set up and they got busted. Muddy Waters-Marijuana Hemp Blues (10/10)- No-nonsense blues by one of the genre's greatest. "Bring me champaign when I'm thirsty, bring me reefer when I want to get high". This song makes you feel like you're in a smoke filled bar surrounded by lots of loose women getting drunk on champaign and smoking a fattie with some old black bass player who's talkin about getting high in the good ol days. "Well there shouldn't be no law against people that want to smoke a little dope". "Well I'm gonna stick with my reefer, ain't gonna be messin' round with no cocaine". Wise words.
