It's true !! they are playing some shows in the fall and they've announced dates for toronto, nyc , LA, among other i can't remember.

who's going?

they have great lyrics and i like their music but judging by some youtube vids they look like a crappy live band.

i have a few mbv bootlegs and they're all pretty solid but i imagine watching them stand completely still on stage for an hour gets boring.

i've heard that they're extremely loud when they play live. like loud to the point where one of the guys from sonic youth said they were way too loud.

i'm really psyched for a new record!

merc, MBV is a shoegaze band not an emo/scenester band

and yeah, they are insanely loud
them getting back together after all this time and playing shows + another record is monumental too

shoegazing shouldnt even be recognized as a genre of music, its a genre of perofrmance.

mbv isnt monumental, zeppelin is, Shy-Fx and Skibadee playing at WEMF 2008 would be more monumental, or The Fugees getting together, or the Roots live anywhere or Mos Def or Nas or Incubus, even a Band of Horses show would be better.

MBV getting together is about as monumental as Canada winning the ice fishing gold in the winter olympics. noone will know this bands name in 1 years time. find better music nilla. seriously.

they make me want to do shitty overpriced drugs just to listen to their shitty soundwaves.
