Does anybody know whether the lyrics for the sublime song were written by miles davis or if its just the tune that they stole from the song?

summer time and the livings easy.

i mean obviously sublime wrote the part about "we're well qualified to respesent the lbc . etc " but did miles davis even have lyrics to his version?
i couldnt find any answer to this quesiton, so i figured id ask here
