oh yeah baby
today i ordered my moog voyager with electric blue cabinet(pretty much black with tiny blue metallic flecks in it if you look close) and jade led's, along with 3 moogerfoogers (low pass filter, ring modulator and analog delay) and cv expander.
i'm confident ill be able to split the earth in half with its awesomeness and fat fucking bass.

well yeah i guess if you had a mixer or some other method of getting the sounds from the fantom onto your computer, yes. you could do "a whole lot".
but basically I don't believe half of the things you say.
edit: hey herb! let's play spot the bullshit!

dude.. the fantom x has usb.. you can build up a whole track, export it as a .wav to your computer and then convert it to whatever format you need for your application.
ps: I could care less what you choose to believe. I'm not here to impress people who don't know me, so meh. The people on these forums who have gotten to know me and what I'm about know I'm a pretty real person, so I'm not too concerned with some kid in the Peg who has nothing better to do than follow me around and give me a hard time for every other post I make.

hahah, worrrd-- got to love the sitar for string sounds and effects like the big guitar solo-type rips, and even some bollywood iddish. i really like yamaha equipment for string stuff, but fantoms are just such solid overall workhorses.

you can find fantoms pretty cheap at pawn shops and from people who've recently upgraded or moved to strictly to PC-based production a la 9th and so many others. i really think that reason and FL helped start that revolution towards losing all the actual equipment and cables and doing everything on PC-- it's all about scalability.
just the cut-ins and cut-outs though.. i remember when i started messing around with making beats and actually recording tracks, we'd spend what would feel like an hour or two just getting the ins and outs JUST how we wanted them. then FL and reason come along, and you could do the same thing with the click of a mouse and you can see the wav file all layed out.

the roland fantom workstations are pretty cool, but tbh, the voyager and fantom are completely separate instruments. the fantom is a rompler and a sequencer and a sampler all in one type of deal, whereas the voyager is a kick-ass mono synth.
