Chris Garneau - (compared to the sound of Sufjan) 's first album Music for Tourists was amazing. Undeniably sad. Great wet weather soundtrack for a mopey day inside.
His newly released album El Radio is amazing except in a new way. It's the fancy free moments of Garneau that were rarely seen before, except amplified. His whimsy is like an old time music box or a vaudeville carnival straight out of a movie. It's fun, and I like it.
What annoys me is that he never opens his throat up and just lets it rip. He does it live, but never seems to in the studio. A lot a lot a lot of potential

Right. I get it.
And, I'd like to add a question...

No shit? Thanks for the heads up. Yeah Autumn Beds is the one I missed. PMM is the one meant that was on it's way. Didn't hear #4 wasn't coming though, thanks for that. I didn't know that's why SS got pushed back, the orange is real pretty though on my copy so I'm glad they got it sorted.

Settle, my friend. She just wanted some random music discussion instead of mindless video posting, as did I.
Hooka has been slow with the summer months if not otherwise, and the music forum (one of my favorites) is always kinda slow and lacking so it's nice to get some actual discussion going even if it is random or about skametal (don't worry verk, we're still buddies).
I'm pretty sure it was a general observation and not directed at you, or at least that's what mine was. Though I thought for a second you were being a smart ass after I made that post. Glad I know it was the xanax. Haha. Good call on that Dino Jr. by the way.

I'm kind of surprised they scrapped the press because of the wrong shade of orange, Grieves. If it were me I'd be bound to be like "FUCK IT! Good 'nuff!"
Call it bitching, cool, I don't care. As said above this shit is just slow and I think we could benefit from some fuckin discourse.
@vicky - if you have not had the chance, see Garneau the next time he comes around. Very very very amazing live.

It wasn't up to Sir Isaac's standards, plus you have to have superior product when it is limited to 4,000 copies...It was a better move in the long term, to show that they made those for the real fans and not just rushed em out for profit...

Depends how ugly the orange was. I can't believe that's what held it back from landing on record store day, but I'm kinda glad because I may not have come across it when I did a bit later, plus like I said, shit's real pretty.

nah it's all good, no beef with scatter. and I understand the point and agree with it completely. but the tone and the attitude was a little bitchy.
yeah and i hate to blame it on a drug either but if you have done xanax you know how it is.
and i did over react and was a little defensive but again like I said I didn't like the tone.
tell you what, I'll post some more later with a little bit of a foreward to them
edit- my first two videos did have comments with them

i like it. turned out very well. maybe it could use a little more percussive instruments, maybe switch up the kick/snare with a couple of different samples in the mid of the song when it breaks down @ around the 3 min. mark, and maybe add in some buzzy/bright synth lines to go with the mellowness of the background and the piano. just my opinon but it's good, tho.

^^I dig that. The beginning beat bit bothers me a little since the tones are so different. Just sounds disjointed, once it pulls together with the rest though it sounds great. The 6:30 mark is quite nice.
-sorry you mistook my tone as bitchy. It was a joke coupled with an explanation. shrugs.

the beginning of it sort of made me think of a horror movie score, like the psycho killer is right behind you waiting to cut your head off with a chainsaw.

thanks for the comments guys!
did the transition sounds sound out of place? i used some samples and tried to get them to "blend" in with the rest of the synthesized sounds, but, to me, they kinda stand out too much...

I can't tell if I dig on Doom much or not. I got some of his stuff and really dig and and then there are other times I try and listen and just have to turn that shit off. Been that way for a while.
