i've been talking with Jimetta Rose on twitter, trying to get her to get on an LP. i have her one and only hard-to-find EP, but it's on vinyl and i can't find it anywhere..
she's on that new shafiq though, and on that Ms. One record i posted in THE hip-hop thread.. so check her out. that voice will make you shake.

so like i said, i've been talking to her on twitter.. she told me yesterday that the LP she's been working on is set for release sometime in November this year-- not quite sure on the date yet, and is working on getting a distributor. i'll keep you posted. but definitely look out for her. once in a generation type of voice.

thanks myx. i have most of those on vinyl, but now i can sample the mp3s and use them without having to put the vinyl-to-cd. especially the nina simone.. i've been looking for some simone on cd for a long long time but couldn't find what i wanted.
