What do you look for in a good song?

Obviously there are some songs we like, some songs we could take or leave and some songs we avoid like the plague. You'll notice that a lot of the songs that ar well recieved by you tend to have the same characteristics. What are they for you?

For me: I like songs that I can dance to. Slow, guitar strummin' is excrutiating for me to listen to. Also, I like lyrics that are empowering.

When I'm listening to a song, I think to myself "is this something that mercury would enjoy?" if the answer is yes, I decide that the song is no good and immediately turn it off, never to listen to it again.

So you must like guitar strummin' old hippies on rocking chairs and bass heavy hip hop with lyrics born of insecurity.

It's not exactly forbidden knowledge, that you've never heard a good song.
