I think you misunderstood.

Sometimes music serves no function other than to entertain...yes it's true.

I listen to alotta different music and take my music VERY seriosuly...if you had even bothered to look at some of the other bands i listen to you would realize they are far from gag bands.

music has pulled me outta alotta deep water over the years as Im sure it has done for you.

Perhaps, if I had said what i wanted to say in a more civilized manner you wouldnt be assuming so much about me.

I'm not willing to fight about this anymore, I know why I listen to music and what it does for me...it's always going to be more than a bunch of instruments together to form a catchy hook.

I love gettin into arguements over music, it makes me feel a little better I guess... Now, looking for something that's beyond music? I would suggest listening to anything psychadelic, or some ambient-type stuff. I think Ego Tripping knows a little more on that subject than I do, but I know of this band named Air who do some pretty cool shit. Check it out sometime man...

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Yes, music is made to entertain, to please us, and make us happier (or whatever emotion is expressed), but with something like rap/rock, it has to have a little substinence for me to like it. Just my opinion, and I'm sure you have opinions on what music I like. But whatever, opinions are like assholes...
