just bought that book.....very helpful. problem is, it doesnt have much as far as a "budget minded" individual is concerned. I know, if ya got $500 you can buy a big hps for some killer buds, but at one point, growers used floro. I'm on the same path. Floro work alright? so far so good for me. bein new is interesting, I'm like a new father. I even catch myself talkin to them . Oh well, Thanks for any input.

I'm in exactly the same situation, if your tight on money, start with a 18w flouro I don't think it should cost that much, i'm in england and it cost me £10 ($20) but it should be cheaper if your in the u.s
Another important thing is to buy second hand I can't afford £180 ($400) on some crazy hydro lights. I bought a 150-watt Metal Halid lamp for £30 ($60-65) on ebay which was a bargain but have a look on ebay or locally.
When the plant gets bigger get some decent lights, how much watts is your flouro at the mo?

not sure of the watts ( i know, how stupid), i checked when i bought i just forget, and theyre not printed on the bulbs, like most others. i bought them at walmart, and they didnt have a wide selection. theyre each about 1 foot tall, after a month veg. i just dont think ill get very much for the work. somes better than none. and its good grade stuff. id love to post pics, im worried about it bitin me in the ass with police. better safe then sorry, right.

I was hesitant about uploading pictures too, you can use this proxy if you want:

Although the most important thing is don't tell anyone if you can try to find out the watts that would be good, I still think you should go with a better lighting system otherwise it'll take ages to grow more and even if it does the buds will not be as big

found stamping on lights, 40 watts each. only people i tell are these forums, and my wife, cuz she lives w/ me. kinda hard to hide from her. thanx for the proxy, now if i can get my image file sizes smaller, well be in biz.

cool! 40 watts should be pretty good for growing, how many of these lights do you have?
If you want to get your image sizes smaller save the file as a JPEG that should reduce it enough for you to upload on here

just 1 shoplight with 2 bulbs. think all my pic files are jpg. ill keep tryin. i tried the proxy, but havent recieved email from them. hey, thanks for the info.

i have the room ineed the seed what plant is the stongest thc out put for a soil set up

tjilla, i don't think anyone could really tell you what the strongest is. Just get something fm the seedbank and i'm sure youll be fine. % THC depends alot on growing conditions.

Hi, it's been a while; and I could use some help remembering germination.

seeds stay in solution (anytype?) and rockwool for how many days? I think 3 to 10 days, right?

I can move the seeds when the second set of leaves form, right?

Also, I can put a low power grow light 24/7 for the seeds, or should I use light/dark combo during germination.
