outdoor soil mixture

hey all, ive just taken a good look around and grabbed pretty much whatever i could get my hands on for ferts and soil and whatnot for this year. heres a list of what i have, just looking for some ballpark figures on what a good soil mix might be.... in past years ive just used standard potting soil, and then made ferts the bread and butter of the growing success. this year i want to have a good soil mix to start with. heres what i have. any legit feedback would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

1 cu/ft. miracle gro potting soil
1 cu/ft. miracle gro moisture control potting soil
1 cu/ft. composted cow manure (farm fresh manure available as well)
1 bail of peat moss
a bag of perilite
epsom salt
blood meal
lime

plenty of ferts and pest repellent and whatnot, but i want to focus on a good soil mix for now. i usually dig holes and treat them to some lime about a week before planting, use about half potting soil and half whatever is there, and treat that with some of the salts. but this is the first year ive really had all the resources.

If I had those ingredients already, I'd still get a box of Blood Meal and a bag of mushroom compost.........I prefer the Pro-Mix to the Miracle Gro Soil, it has perilite as well as mica in it.

Give us your soil recipe.....~

When I first started growing pot everything I read said to stay away from Miracle Gro. I'm confused.

I'm not a fan of Miracle Gro myself.............. but if one adds a bunch of goodies, all should be well.

yeah, im way out in the boonies and there isnt much for resources, so i doubt i will be able to get ahold of mushroom compost, i couldnt even find bone meal, just blood meal. but yeah, a lot of people in my area use half miracle gro soil, half cow shit and get really good results, and since its outdoors instead of indoors, and they mix it half and half, there isnt really any trouble with burning or contaminated smoke for the most part.

I'm not a big fan of peat moss, I'd leave the epsom salts out too, and go easy on the lime. Stay away from the fresh cow shit also, the rest should be OK. I'd suggest you put it together, water it and let it sit for a while then check pH to be sure.

Oh yes.......the fresh cow manure is way too hot!

The old stuff is what you need.
