How many watts does the Sun give off you ask?

400 septillion watts total.

only a small portion of this hits the earth

1400 watts of energy land on every square meter of the earth.
enough to run 4 blenders on every square meter of the earth all day every day

enough to sustain life as we know it.

thank you bill nye for this information

yeah all I know is it's like 10,000 lumens per square foot = the sun. I'm sure it's different for different altitudes though.
