Exclamation NOOB tripping out....

hi guys so about three days ago i was fortunate enough to come across a few seeds an well I've been doing some reading on here and i tried the paper towel germination method and well the seeds were not good quality and were basically obtained of a bought bag of the sticky... Now i have in my hands 7 seeds that sprouted and now are ready to go on soil... since i did not expect this but i do have the time and space to grow them i know there is a lot of info. in the forum but seriously its unorganized and well there its so many opinions its hard to choose which way to go... Whats my next step? please if any of you have the time i can look for the lighting materials and other stuff myself but i will build whatever i need to build tomorrow morning ... if i can get some help... THanks in advance and well i would greatly appreciate it... I did say noob tripping out....

Thanks
J

put each seed in a 5 gallon bucket with potting soil and place them in a small space lined with aluminum foil with about 400-800w of HPS bulbs and you'll do ok.

Aluminium foil bad (causes hot spots), mylar or matt white paint good.

Five gallon is big for the first pot, I`d go for something a lot smaller then pot up later.

Also I`d be wary of putting them straight under HPS lighting- flouros are better for seedlings, HPS is too strong at first.

Look at the FAQs and the Cannabis Grow Bible.

going straight to five gallon pots reduces the risk that the seedlings will get a shock from being root bound in a small container when a person gets lazy about transplanting. The problem is they take up lots of room and it feels like a waste if you wind up with 50% males.

For sure. Having a good root mass is key to any plant. It holds moister better and absorbs nutrients more readily. I

t's the plants goal to have it grow over time and you are trying to maximize. If you let that thing run free, it will burn up it's energy and not push out in stages very fast.

In my experience plants with tighter roots always do better, and have more uniform and predictable grow as the amount of soil being monitored is smaller.

Don't be lazy and let it become too tight.

Shoot for the middle, grow it in stages of pots.

Starting it in a 1 gallon. In gardening once you have a 1 gallon pot stabilized, you have a plant that can get put about anywhere with proper soil.
