How can I keep my gigantic plant until next year?
I have one plant that produced me close to a pound and a half of blue mystic and I'd love to use this exact plant again next year except there's a few things preventing me from doing so
it's in the ground and it's been there since march so I assume the roots reach out pretty far... Could I try to dig it up... Killing some of the roots and toss her in a big 50gal storage bucket and throw her under my 600? I am aware this would stress it out but would it repair itself or do I need to leave it planted and firgure out someway to shine light on it every night for the next couple mnths? If I revert it I know this plant will produce upwards of two lbs... Maybe I'll even flower it again before bringin it out next summer so pretty much any advice on how to save my baby would be greatly apreciated thanx to all |

if you cut back the roots and the top in equal proportion -leaving plenty of leaves and a little bud, it should/could come back if its healthy... but these plants do have a limited life cycle and dont last forever so i dont know. its worth a try if you have room

Well I did it... I actually filled a 31 gal storage bucket with foxfarm soil and popped out eight chisel-size drainage holes then dug up my big momma as best I could wish I coulda avoided cutting off as many roots as I did but i think shell come through... I watered with root stimulators a drop of superthrive and heavy nitrogen nutes... I stuck it alongside my 5 other indoor plants... Under my 600 metal halide plannng on buying a 1000 hps ballast to go along with my air cooled 1000 setup
if this plant makes it I'll be one happy mofo I'll take some pictures of it also does anyone know if you put 3-4 plants in the same container does it affect the growth in any way? Or would I just make sure they all absorb nutes equally maybe use the three clone of my blue mystic so their the same strain? |

How long does it take for them to establish themselvs for normal growth. Are they like most pines were they only grow an inch the first year? If planted this fall can I expect good growth next year? Also they will be on my west property line with high winter winds and snow drifts (part of the reason for a hedge) Should I cover them or protect them somehow this first winter?

re 3-4 plants in one container- you can do but what is the point? They will compete for light and nutrients, also if you have an issue with one plant it will almost certainly spread to the others.

good point
i only wanted multiple plants in one pot because im using a 31 gallon rectangle box and it does take up a lot of room... here is some pictures of the reverting plant... it is now past the shock stage and actually producing many many branches... so it succesfully reverted... heres pics of that... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() it is surely coming along... here are my other plants... i have 4 pure power plants 1 purple ak 2 blue mystic and my big blue mother vegging indoors under my 600 ![]() ![]() ![]() heres the purple ak... bought as a clone ![]() these are my pure power plant seeds from holland : ) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() hope you enjoy also to answer my other post about planting a plant late in the season... it does work i have two plants currently 2 weeks into flowering the only problem ive been having moisture problems and the plants are wet every morning... i figure a little bit of premature bud flowered for free outside is better than none huh? at the least make some tea from them... i also started a bunch of new clones from my ppps but they are hidden hopefully pretty well |
