Fan leaves are turning purple

I've gotten a lot of good information over the last couple of years in this forum, and i'd like to say thanks to you all first. I have one plant left to harvest(I grow outdoors), and she's my biggest--about 9'. In the last few days, I've noticed some of the lower fan leaves are turning purple. She's not been fed, but there has been rain recently--its raining now. Where I live, its been getting into the upper '40's at nite, and during the day its upper '60's to
mid-'70's. Her trich's are cloudy, and at least 60% of the pistils(is that right?)
have browned up. Is this purplish color due to the cooler nites, or is she getting deficient mineralwise? The forecast is calling for a frost on Monday
morning, with rain until then. I was planning to give her another week or so,
but will the frost actually drive the thc levels down? Hmmm--I guess I have
more than one question. Any ideas?

frost-----usually when you have a big plant and a frost hits, the tops might have to be harvested but the rest can keep growing.

If I remember right, the purple comes from the low temperatures you've described. I've read about how some indoor growers induce purple in their buds by lowering temperatures to around 65, I think.

here's a link I found on it
put purp in a AF - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

Not much but I'm sneezing, stuffy nose lowers my tolerance for searches lol.

Thanks for the input and the links. Phamrgirl, you read my mind--that's exactly what I've
planned to do--take the big tops and leave the rest. I'm gonna pray for dry.
