And for a quick reference as to the absurdity of this "America is soooo generous" crap:

http://blogger.xs4all.nl/marcone/arc.../03/19687.aspx

one of MANY sites with this per capita information. Look at the USA. The richest, most powerful nation is the world is outdone by no less than:

Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Britain, Canada, Denmark (OWNED by Denmark), Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Netherlands, Norway (OWNED), Quatar (totally owned), Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UAE.....

Richest nation in the world...

Open your eyes, holms. Bin Laden works for the C.I.A. Why do you think that with all this technology, they could find Saddam hiding in a hole but they cant find some fucker hiding in a cave? They Bush family and the Bin Laden family are close friends.

This is a very good topic. The answer is plain and simple tho, because for the most part Americans in general are fucking stupid. Most americans belive the lies that our own government tells us every fucking day. However, the truth is slowly seeping thru. While most people pass it off simply as "conspiricies" there are a few of us that belive otherwise. The only terrorist orginization behind the 9/11 attacks WAS the US government. We live in a police state. I do belive that someday we will all be liberated and all the bullshit lies and those that are feeding them to us will be exposed. I just hope i am alive to see it.

Oh by the way, check this outwww.policestateplann ing.com/loose_change_ii.htm its pretty fucked up.

You are stupid to think that the US government is compitent enough to pull off these attacks. For fucks sake Look at katrina, karl rove, or any other incident in this administration. They are incompitent, not capable of such an attack.
Compitent?
Incompitent?

Are you competent?

And no, they aren't competent enough to make the attacks. That's why the shit doesn't add up and people are going "um...wtf."

Same way the neocons botched the Kennedy Assassination.

Bin Laden clearly works for our government (or did). Think about it. Why aren't there car bombs going off every day across this country?

Common sense....or as you might suggest: commin sence.

Sorry bro, you seem like a pretty chill guy in other threads but you are a complete moron on this issue. Truly shocking the cognitive dissonance your posts are exuding.
Sure, it's wrong on principle, but this thread started with YaCanuck saying we should have a revolution in the US. Is the NSA cataloging your phone information so frightening that you'd consider overthrowing the government because of it? As long as nobody has been arrested because of it, then I wouldn't say it rises to the level of revolution-starter.

Yeah, we really stepped up then, a hell of a lot quicker and more efficiently than we did in New Orleans. I been hated Bush ever since he took office, but Katrina killed any lingering questions about his goodness or humanity for me. I try not to assign evil motives to people just because they disagree with me politically; even people who disagree with you are usually sincere. But he let a whole fucking city wash away, while he fiddled in Crawford, and now he's trying to fuck them over on reconstruction. It just boggles my mind how he can get away with it, how voters in most of the country never really cared and have forgotten about it already, or blame the people of New Orleans for...living in New Orleans, being black and poor and unable to leave, whatever. I hope some crazy-ass tornado hits the Midwest, and the next Democratic President decides to shrug his shoulders and not do shit about it. That would be poetic.

you sure showed him....dick

Anyway im suprised you guys think that the reason the gov't isnt behind 9/11 is because they are arent capable of pulling something like that off. The government (our government) is a bunch of the sneakiest, smartest, people in the world. We pull of covert operations all the time that we don't find out about and probably never will. The reason it doesnt make sense to me that the gov isnt behind 9/11 is because they are way to smart to do such a shitty job. Like the whole thing with the little camera facing the pentagon or whatever...do you really think that the gov't officials in charge of the attack wouldn't know about that. I dont see how that could be possible...

I understand that you think the US gov't maybe selfish, but i dont see realy any government that isnt. It would be nice if the US could help out when not asked or needed, but we still have to look after our best interests.
thats where you are wrong. the US doesnt HAVE to look after its best interest. we choose to. thats every american citizens fault, including mine. we are snotty arrogant lazy rich bastards. i live in the suburbs, so i constantly am reminded of this fact by soccer moms in S.U.V.s and rude people EVERYWHERE. As soon as americans step down off their high horse and realize what a shithole we are making the rest of the world live in simply for the benefit of our physical bodies and our wants/desires we will see some changes.

we are all humans, we should all be living under one single government as a unified people. that way we would all be looking out for everyone elses best interest, and we wouldnt have all these little divisions of people all vying for power and resources.

now i know this is quite unrealistic in todays world. but we WILL get there. we just need people to stop looking out for themselves and their groups and realize we are all the same at heart and start working together as a group. instead of lookin at the world as a wonderful place full of variety and enjoyment we look at it as a shithole. but its only a shithole because we choose to make it that way. social and economic divisions are dissapearing more and more everyday, there are less and less racists every day. it might seem like the world is a pretty harsh place at the moment, but i am extremely optimistic.

and dont get me wrong, im not anti-american. every government in the world participates in illegal acts. it just so happens that america is the biggest baddest most criminal nation on the planet at the moment. so my anger is more directed towards the fuckwads who make the decisions and hold the power, not you or your personal beliefs/opinions. try to make that distinction very clear.

Will someone tell me how in the fuck there is a way of knowing if any arrests have been made as the result of illegal wiretapping? How would you know if any information not related to terrorism isn't passed on to the local athorities? You wouldn't. The way some of you shrug off the blatant invasion of privacy boggles my mind.

If they are so god damn sneaky how come they couldnt even plant fake nukes in iraq to justify the war?

if they are so damn sneaky how come the whole wiretapping thing became public?

if they are so damn sneaky how come we had people stranded for days in a hurricane in OUR OWN COUNTRY while we spent billions of dollars on a war?

if they are so damn sneaky how come we STILL DONT HAVE BIN LADEN, THE MAN SUPPOSEDLY RESPONSIBLE FOR 9/11?

they are NOT sneaky. They are incompetent. if you cant accept this you are blinding YOURSELF. they are a bunch of rich nutjobs whose main goal is to secure financial security for themselves and their offspring for as long as possible. to put any kind of trust whatsoever in these people would be a huge mistake.

Sonicwhoah, you do not seem to get it. It's not a question of whether no one has been arrested. It's the point that at any moment, cops can bang through my door and take me "to an undisclosed location" without trial, legal counsel, or knowledge of why I'm even being held, because I posted "America is just as bad as terrorists" on an AOL message board...or mentioned it to my friend in passing on the phone.

What is the issue with you, bro? Did you not read as a child? Might I suggest: 1984, Farenheit 451, Animal Farm...actually you know what? What about movies. Those are easier: Matrix, V for Vendetta, Judgement at Nuremburg, Spy Game, I mean this list can go on and on....

The day we allow our government to wiretap everyone and create this database is the day we become a militarized state. You might not see it with tanks rolling down park avenue, but it'll come.

I'd like to add, that the NSA is not an elected body, but a self-contained "offshoot" of the intelligence community. Nothing like people you don't know compiling this database, let alone the compilation in the first place.
