JcPizwink, I'd just like to thank you for that excellent summary of how American economic policies contribute to third world squalor etc. Whenever I ask that question, people just argue that capitalism is inherently evil, globalization takes advantage of people by paying them low wages, etc. etc.

So your saying that basically, our economic polices/globalization and stuff gives more power to whoever is in control, due to increased productivity or whatever from capitalism. And therefore the oppressive regimes who are currently ruling in some of these countries gain more power. Right?

Sort of. I'm saying that those "in control" support oppressive regimes to increase their own power under the safety blanket of capitalism. Sort of the same thing, but a little different.

Either way, the lesson learned is that this ridiculous "I've earned it" philosophy of these nepotist multi-billionaires needs to be stopped. Financial freedom only works when the system in place rewards those who work hard. That, unfortunately, is not the case.

its pretty simple dude.

1)give a person guns
2)watch him rule his people with an iron fist while the u.s. rapes the resources/labor of the oppressed people who, thanks to the dictators, have no international voice
3)soccer moms, s.u.v.s, cable with 600 channels, etc etc.

the cia has been playing hopskotch for the last 40-50 years all over the world couping elected leaders/installing dictators and funding them. we have a pretty well established method to make sure we both benefit and look good in the international community, which we also pretty much have complete control over thanks to hitler and ww2. this isnt some dumb conspiracy bullshit. just google "u.s. funded dictators" or "cia coupe" or that kind of thing.

capatalism is based off the consumption of resources from other countries. it isnt going to last much longer thanks to globalization. we cant have every country be capatalist because then we would have no countries to leech off of. if taiwan or mexico or any other "third world country" were making as much money as the u.s. they wouldnt be working in sweatshops to make cheap shit for us. and so on it goes.

That's why I am completely against gun-control laws. I don't want to live in a country where only the military and the police have guns. It makes it too easy for things to go 1984.

Gun CONTROL laws or Gun laws that seek to OUTLAW guns? They are quite different. One is trying to prevent idiots from getting guns, the other is trying to prevent anyone from owning one.

Not sure why the NRA insists upon fighting gun control laws like waiting periods, child safety locks, computer ID chips in the gun so someone else can't use it, etc.

You Americans are firm believers in guns. I'm pretty sure lax gun laws have more con's than pro's.
The military and the police both consist of citizens with families, friends and loved ones.
All you need is the watchful average citizen, who'll see the evil arise before it's too late. No need for guns because civil disobediance is the most powerful weapon against authoritative tyranny.
A situation of arising anarchy where everybody has a gun, results in total chaos of an unimaginable scale.

Listen man, no one is going to fucking "revolt."

Like its been said, people who are middle/lower class still live fucking better than the majority of the world.

Ive got a nice car, live in a fairly big house, and doing fine financially.

While many people like myself do not agree with my countries politics, doesnt mean we are going to get all up in arms, Id rather try and settle things peacfully.

and on a side note, most Americans are fucking stupid fat ass morons, and these are the type of people I compete with, kinda makes shit pretty easy.

I think you're being naive. If Bush starts another unilateral war, there would be riots across the country. Just because "most" won't be involved does not mean it wouldn't happen.

Christ, right before Iraq started there was a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge protest here in NYC that almost turned ugly when police started to run into the crowd with horses.

Most does not equate to All.

americans just havent been motivated enough to do anything yet. as the situation gets worse i can definitly see people getting pissed. having nice cars and nice jobs doesnt have much to do with the act of protesting your govt.

hey france does it like once a weekend dont they? its like they have big "viva le revolution" riots to change whatever it is they dont like about the government that weekend. i wish i lived in france with people that have integrity. damn i miss integrity. those people know how to keep their govt in check.

France has a thousands of years long history and since the july revolution in 19th century the French have a culture of protesting and revolting nowhere else to be seen in the world, especially not in the US which are historically a very very new creation.

as you can see, many americans are well-brainwashed. they dumb us down in mandatory education systems from young children. work people tired 40 hrs/week...dismantle the families and structure...everythi ng revolves around economic forces, authority, and $$$. Capitalism and Corporations are the perfect example of absolute tyranny. People live by the grace of each paycheck....

...and if you think that the USA is a sovereign nation, then I suggest you do more research. in my understanding the USA is the corporate/military branch of a european empire that includes the British Crown (london) and the Roman Empire (Vatican). It is all controlled by central banks that are really private corporations operated by secret societies under various guises of freemasons and other secret orders centered in London (city state)...the other ruling city states are Vatican City and Washington DC. colonists never won the so called US revolution. The British did, and the bankers always win. what they tell the people is purposeful disinformation and the ruling elite of Europe and the crown try to distance themselves from the actions of their US military-industrial-corporate branch. i thought you knew that George Washington was a British Officer, British spy, high level Freemason, and the bushes are directly related to King Edward.

People really have no idea. do the research for yourself and decide.
